happened & did

  • Brunch with all the old cats (well, all the ones that get along, anyway, hahah). So fun and delicious Spanish Eggs!
  • Took down that annoying Blissey much more quickly than I thought I would. Yasss!
  • EUROVISION!!! I really wasn't sure who would win. Portugal was a bit of a surprise. There were some controversies which overshadowed it a bit, I thought. Overall though, I had fun.
  • Went to an exhibition at Balkon. We were only there for about 10 minutes though. (We had a 15-minute park, but even though they art was very interesting, there really wasn't much of it.)
  • Trivia night. Music-themed (classical music, so I knew nothing.) Was still fun though. Good to have all the old cats back together. Our table name was 15 Cats!
  • This month got really cold, really fast. The indigenous calendar says that winter doesn't start until late June, but I'm declaring it Winter now! (end of May)

learned & discovered

  • Apparently there's a course on the Eurovision Song Contest at Melbourne University (!?)
  • Ukrainian food is delicious! They can take something with only 4 or 5 ingredients and slow-cook it and make it amazing!
  • Gergis is a real name!
  • Just a lot on artists and art styles that I've been reading about on Wikipedia. There's a website called Creative Spaces which lists studios and other kinds of creative spaces for rent. I also found out more about how Balkon works.
  • 'Coontail' is a form of invasive water weed in the U.S. If you say it with a giant water mower on in the background, it sounds like you're saying 'poontail'.

made

  • Continued my Temperature Scarf.

cooked

  • I didn't cook anything myself, but we've been having amazing food thanks to A being home for 2 weeks.
  • Well, I made nachos a couple of times, and a massaman curry from a tin that was so bland Anth had to add a whole bunch of spices. I wanted to make dirty rice but he chose the tin of massaman curry and coconut cream from the hamper, so it didn't turn out how I wanted at all.

read

  • Finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
  • Started Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

watched

  • Continued Attack on Titan
  • Started Girl Meets Bear (12 eps)
  • EUROVISION!
  • Saw a really interesting series of documentaries about religion hosted by Morgan Freeman.

played

  • Continued playing Village Life mainly just in maintenance mode at the moment. Same with Rollercoaster Tycoon.
  • Bit City continues.
  • Started playing a game called Capitalism Simulator. It's strangely addictive.
  • Still really into Pokemon Go, and a sudden and unexpected interest in fighting in gyms popped up mid-month.
  • Started City Mania ... it's a bit like SimCity Free with extras. Not sure about it yet.
    • Nah, it's boring.
  • Bec told me about Magikarp Jump, so I started playing that.

memes / words / quotes / good things / funny things

  • Mike on the wind turbine cleaning episode:
    • Worker: I'm right behind you, don't be alarmed.
    • Mike: Oh, I've been alarmed this whole time.
  • I went to type the name 'Ned' and accidentally typed 'Nerd'.
  • Mike at the gourd farm and making all sorts of innuendo on the gourd breeding programme. Also, the guy who makes them into cheesy snowmen and angels also makes these incredibly creepy fantasy masks just for fun. "Gourdgy"
  • Taiwanese Pork-Beef = Mystery food and/or dodgy food that's not what they claim it is (from The Checkout ).
