  • If I have trouble with a concept, look at story of discovery - always easier to understand when you know HOW person made discovery - go through it with them
  • Put Bassy as the maker of decisions in my will, funeral-wise. I want to be cremated, and if there is a memorial play Now My Heart is Full by Morrissey and a bunch of Bowie. Also, no prayers, no talks. Atheist in life, Atheist funeral.
  • Bassy's funeral:
    • Make his funeral a huge going away party. Music, food, the whole shebang. No crappy funeral songs.
    • Play Another One Bites the Dust and Only the Good Die Young (unless he does die young)
    • Bury him with his yarn sticks.
    • Cremate
    • Good food

  • “We can have as much or as little crime as we please; depending on what we choose to count as criminal.” - Herbert Packer (Criminologist)
  • 2012 murder rate was 4.7 homicides for every 100,000 U.S. residents.
  • Generally, murder rates (and agg. assault) peak in the warmest months (agg. assault is lowest in winter - murder?)
