The girl group gathered massive public attention after a fancam of a stage incident went viral. While the group was performing, parts of the stage collapsed due to poor construction. Member and leader Nammii tripped and almost fell into one of the holes but was caught by a member standing close by. She injured her leg and limped to finish the stage. The group was praised on the news and internet for their professionalism and finishing the stage amongst the chaos. OXO continued in 2016 with new mini-albums and slowly gathered the attention of the public for their songs and visuals.
OXO uses a mixture of upbeat bubble pop songs and strong dance moves that have captivated their fans since debut. Each member holds an essential position to the group and collectively participates on their albums with composing, producing and writing.
OXO holds a strong social media presence as well, being the named the most retweeted girl groups and in the top 20 for the most retweeted accounts on twitter for 2016. They all share a group twitter account and often broadcast on VLive and post snippets of their day or behind the scenes material through their YouTube series ‘XOXO’. The group showcases their various talents through vocal, rap and dance covers also released through YT.
