inspired by the wonderful Kate. ~ Archive.

May.

  • My cousin's wedding. To see how happy she and her husband were. Me flirting with the waitress (lol). Realizing that I kinda fell for her, a little. (It's been a month and I just can't get her out of my head.)
  • That random guy on the S-Bahn calling me "beautiful". (Sadly he totally wasn't my type.)
  • Lord Huron. Ohgod, the feels.
  • Going to a really huge but lovely garden centre, buying some flowers and creating a cute, pretty little flower bed under the apple tree. Charging my crystals in the fresh soil. Basically watching the flowers grow in my raised garden bed. Planting tomatoes. Spending a lot of time in the garden.
  • Ben Howard - I Forget Where We Were
  • Not really having the time to do this list because I wrote so many pages in my journals and didn't want to write everything down twice.

June.

  • Meeting J. for the first time in YEARS and having a really really good time, drinking coffee, walking along the lake, talking, finding out that we have similiar interests, opinions and ideas.
  • Buying my new bullet journal. It only took me a few months to fill my first one and this kind of journaling helps me so much with my bucket and to do lists.
  • Hazelnut ice cream.
  • Rainer Maria Rilke. Holy shit. I didn't really like his poetry at first but now I started reading his poems in English and THEY TOUCH MY FREAKING HEART. It's just incredible, how the translation from German into English changes everything. This quote...left me speechless. My soul consists of poetry, and reading poetry...for me, it's true love.
  • Let's Dance (DE). Vanessa made me so incredibly happy. ♥ Her dances always made me cry so hard?? Like?? That was the first time someone touched me with dancing?? She makes me want to learn standard and I've never been interested in standard??? I'm probably going to re-watch her videos over and over again.
  • Writing with (or...sending podcasts :D to) Kate. ♥
  • Writing my heart out. Writing about my past. It's weird, I fill notebooks & journal all the time but I feel like my journal doesn't know that much about my mental health because there was a time in my life that I didn't want to include in my journal because I didn't want to put that negative shit in there. But now I just had to write parts of it down. Write everything down. Let go.
  • Taylor Swift finally putting her music on Spotify! Oh em geeee. I'm so freaking obsessed with her atm.
  • Lord Huron. I just -- no words, no wORDS.
  • Germany legalizing gay marriage. FinaLLyYY!!!!

July.

  • Writing with Jule. Planning our trips to Morocco and Asia and and and...
  • Getting kind of obsessed with Moroccan architecture. I want to have my own riad!
  • Cotidiano, always. Their spinach quiche always gives me foodgasms. Spending some time at the Gärtnerplatz. Going shopping at Globetrotter (my new favourite store in Munich!). Using the free Wifi at Karstadt. Drinking orange juice.
  • My stupid anti!left-wing extremism tweet getting more than 2600 likes on twitter. The responses were freakin' entertaining.
  • Lord Huron. I love The Ghost on the Shore so much. It reminds me of that one story I want to write. And I have the biggest crush on Ben Schneider.
  • Fiiiinally working out/doing yoga again.
  • Mum & Dad bringing me vegan dolma from the culture festival. It reminded me of the Turkish food I used to eat at G. and Y's place and woke so many memories from my childhood. Now I really want to go to an Afghan or Turkish restaurant.
  • Going to the beergarden around the corner. Having the best pasta ever! (With tomatoes and onions and chanterelle! And ohgosh, the olive oil was heavenly.) Meeting some old friends there. Having a lovely time.
  • The BBC casting an actress as 13th Doctor.
  • Selfmade pizza. It was sooooo good. The dough was perfect, soft but still crisp. So yummy.
  • Walking the dog, spending time in nature.
  • Donating some of my old stuffed animals. It makes me happy to know they will find a new home, at an orphanage or in the hands of refugee children. My ultimate goal is to become as selfless as possible, to give as much as I can to other beings.
  • The beautiful Morocco photography by João Loureiro. (Full of Color)
  • BBCs Africa series. Definitely one of the most beautiful documentaries I have ever seen and I've learned so many great and beautiful and sad things: how giraffes fight (they look quite hilarious actually), how a shoebill stork mother abandons her weaker child (incredibly sad), elephants, hippos and buffaloes swimming in the ocean, how the African rock python risks her life every day for three months to be able to warm her eggs with her body, coiling around them and trying to give them as much warmth as possible. After their birth she still protects her babies from predators which is unusual for snakes. That was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen documented on camera. The series shows so much beauty, it makes me kinda sad.
  • The cute little kids in the S-Bahn calling the woman who was sitting next to them Rapunzel because of her long hair.
  • Turning the second guestroom into a walk-in closet.
  • That refugee I keep seeing in the town. Today I saw him eating ice cream with his two children and it was so adorable and lovely I almost cried. I really need more diversity in our little town. Different cultures and faces bring so much joy.
  • Opening the skylight. Watching the stars. Meditating on my bed. Then suddenly hearing someone in the neighborhood playing the piano. In the middle of the night.
  • Planning my Asia work and travel adventure.
  • Doing yoga almost every day. Practicing the crow and head- and handstand (Haven't done them in yeeears). Opening my third eye with forward fold and meditation.
  • Cuddles with Rico. His ear tickling my cheek.
  • Dreaming about Scotland again. I don't know. Maybe it's the rain.
  • Finally meeting the wonderful, beautiful Kate in person. Yaaaay! Going to the Stadtmuseum (even though we didn't really enjoy it, lol), drinking a yummy cup of coffee, going to Das Maria (I had an awesome vegan chickpea-potato-pancake with pistacchio-date syrup yogurt. It was so yummy and already got me in a moroccan mood.), talking, making travel plans. Mwah. ♥
  • RAIN. SO. MUCH. RAIN.
