• Navel blood. More NB photos. Start using mei tei carrier.
• KA over w/ lunch. B parents over, bring dinner & cookies.
• 1st whale bath (likes it!)
• HS & TH over. My parents over, bring subs.
• Get into every other day bath routine
• Errands (PetSmart, Target - swing), B's parents over w/ pizza.
• 1st trip to a store -- Randalls (only get down 1 aisle), Target; my parents over w/ dinner
• 1st Mother's Day (French toast, cupcake batter, cupcakes, cards, Tiffany's initial necklace). Gripe water. Quick visit inside B's parents' house.
• B come home during lunch
• Cool weather in 50s-70s (as opposed to high 80s)
• B's dad bring by dinner
• Visit B's office w/ C + stop by park for quick stroller ride
• BF & BF visit, J & BH visit w/ food
• Work on tummy time activity gym
• C's 1 MONTH
• Ped appt, Walgreens, new Colic Calm & probiotics
• Solo trip to Target. Rock N Play.
• My dad stop by w/ McD breakfast
• Mom over help clean, dad over too; Aunt J & Granny over to visit

• Books: The Bible (ESV), Breastfeeding Made Simple, What To Expect The First Year
• Secure pediatrician. Mom over w/ work org presents & do my toenails. Order newborn outfit.
• OB appt (1.5 d, 70-80% e). Marshalls nursing pjs. BRU necessities, storage bin. Lamp & artwork in!
• J spend night. Go to Flow juice bar & Cuchara. ES late night dance solo. Mom over to clean house. Finish all baby laundry. Possibly decide on name(s). Aunt C & Uncle T over to install new fans. B & I finish cleaning house. Test knit baby bootie = not impressed & decide not worth it. Take nursery "after" photo since 90% complete. B parents over to see nursery. Finish packing hospital bags.
• Start receiving Parents & Eating Well magazines
• Knit new bootie pattern, work on knitting a pair
• Second bootie finishing disaster, quit knitting. B home early w/ food. Finish reading. Newborn photo outfit in.
• OB appt (2 d, 80% e). So tired.
• Kylie's 7th bday
• Tidy house again, B work on yard, trim hedges
• Family reunion -- Aunt P & Granny over to see nursery w/ mom & Beck, reunion (1:30-3:10). JS bday party (3:30-6:30).
• Due date. Not sleeping well, but napping well at least.
• Dad stop by (bring lunch, see nursery, visit). Cold front, rain.
• B & I narrow names more. OB appt (2 d, 80% e, baby slightly lower, sweep membranes, decide on induction date); brunch at The Egg & I. Nap.
• Dad stop by again (I pick up lunch)
• Final OB appt (2 d, 80% e, more sweeping, adjust induction date) & Corner Bakery Cafe w/ J & B; hang out w/ J iTunes, B&N; Willie's w/ J & B for dinner.
• Randalls. My parents for brisket dinner, American Hustle. Water breaks @ 10:40 pm. Home, quick last min packing. Hospital @ 12:25 am.
• Labor & delivery... Baby C born @ 6:27 pm. <3 Exhausting hospital stay (Sat-Mon). Pain + BF probs. Easter. Family visits. Lac consult. Photos. Discharged. My mom comes home too.
• Rough nights at home. 1st ped appt (w/ lac consult). BF woes. Pump rental.
• Lac appt. Mom leaves.
• Ped appt (w/ lac consult). Mom & J over for dinner.
• BF & LM over
• JS & CT over. Rach over.
• Ped appt w/ newborn screening shot. NB photos.
• B back to work. First errands (Children's Place & Target) w/ C in the car.

March 2014

• Ridiculously itchy -- oatmeal baths, body oils. B build cubby shelves. My bday party w/ B fam (+ breakfast Shipleys). My parents officially get the new RV & buy new truck.
• My 29th bday -- baby kick B's ear, breakfast pancakes, LSSB concert, The Cheesecake Factory. Quick moving cold front, from 70s to 30s.
• Last week of lessons (bittersweet, gifts)
• Frozen trees
• Day w/ J (my house, Salata, BB&B, OB appt w/ B too, HEB, dinner)
• ES last dance recital @ HS. Home late, tired, pack, skip baking.
• 1st RV trip w/ my parents + B (pick up, tour, Brazos Bend, ladderball, grilling, pancakes, fishing, bocce ball, storage)
• Hang bedroom curtains, set up guest nightstands. HS & TH engaged.
• Doc appt (physical, shots)
• More serious name hunting. 1 month away...!
• Buy new crib skirt (other backordered too far), glider pillow, nightlight, hang nursery curtains
• Last girl's weekend before the baby (LM & BB to my house, Black Walnut Cafe, stay up late talking; visiting). Hang nursery bookshelves, glider fabric protection. Have B parents over see progress.
• Nursery errands (Panera Bread, Pier 1, Garden Ridge, Target, World Market). Get side table. Order rug, mobile. Narrow down artwork. Shop for lamps. Discuss names more.
• Black Walnut Cafe & RV storage w/ mom, dad, J. Research & contact newborn photogs.
• More errands, searching for lamps. Spring weather in 60-70s (feels like 70-80s). Soo swollen..
• J come to stay
• OB appt & ultrasound
• Lots of baby laundry. Rug in. Spring weather. Nursery closet storage. JS & CT over, help w/ stroller & car seat.
• Clean out closet, set up gear, finish baby laundry. B build hall closet shelf. Chilly weather (50-60s).
• Name search continues. More errands (buy lamp, nursing bras), feet so swollen & tender. Decorate for Easter.
• Terrible sleep. Nice weather. OB appt (0.5 cm d). Bake B's coconut bday cupcakes. Order nursery art.
• Tidy house, nursery. B's bday celebration w/ my parents -- Willie's, my house, cupcakes, fishing rod & reel.
• Errands w/ B (Sonic, Michael's Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Hallmark). Get frames, post-birth supplies, throw blanket, nursing clothes, monthly album. Look at fans, anchor systems. Order new lamp hehe. Belly button partial outie. :)
• B's 31st bday + fam bday lunch party
• Book newborn photog. Hard time w/ name. Pick fan(s) to buy. More nursery organization. Hang mobile, ledge shelves. Hospital directions sent. New swaddle blankets. Order couch pillows.

February 2014

• Books: The Bible (ESV), The Big Book of Birth, Breastfeeding Made Simple
• Decide crib bedding. Nice 70s-80s (albeit gloomy) weather. PBK w/ mom (buy sheets). Look at RVs w/ my parents + B. Watch Robin Hood w/ B.
• Back to 30s-40s weather. Super Bowl Sunday.
• Finish taxes early
• OB appt. Endocrinologist appt. Order 2 dresses.
• Mom out of town. RV show w/ B & dad, dad decide on RV. TH bday party @ B fam house. Clean house w/ B.
• Order nursery curtains, nightstands. Skyfall w/ B.
• Wash all house linens. Weather in 60s-70s. B late-night mop.
• Valentine's Day. Hair cut, mani/pedi (fainting). B cook dinner. BW, AW, RG, BH, & J come out to spend weekend. B & BW cook rice krispie treats...
• Shipley's, my Baby Shower!, BBQ & fam time @ my parents', hang out w/ houseguests
• Really swollen hands & feet, inflammation & numbness in fingers
• Newborn care class. OB appt.
• SSC name change. B's mom's bday party.
• Nosebleed sheets. Mom, dad, & J over to help sort baby gifts & build cradle. Weather in 70s-80s.
• Order many remaining registry items
• Down to only wedding band (swelling!)
• Research/write hospital bag lists, birth plans. Sort more of gifts/nursery. More nosebleeding. More baby item ordering. Weather low in 30s.
• 1st day of relaxation (no errands, major chores, appts) in a long while!
• Ensemble master class. 3 year wedding anniversary (on a Thurs). B take off work Fri to celebrate -- crepes, Target, Sears, B&N, Carrabbas.

January 2014

• Books: The Bible (ESV), GHP, Year of Wonders, The Big Book of Birth
• To my parents' for New Years Day dinner
• Baby shower planning (theme, date, location), lots of serious registry work
• San Antonio trip w/ B's fam (w/ all but HS & TH) -- drive wrong location, unpack in mini cabin, walk around/dinner, uncomfy bed; San Jose Mission, Riverwalk, Alamo, end up driving home to sleep in own bed
• Pick our little tree's 1st 4 lemons! Cold front to feel like 9 degrees.
• New HS solos. Start spring semester lessons.
• Serious crib list w/ B, register for hospital classes. Not sleeping well.
• Uncle B in ICU, mom & dad go stay there several days
• Maternity tour w/ B, Ruggles Green
• Seriously tackle cleaning out future nursery, w/ open windows. Weather in 70s-30s. Research bassinet options for Aunt P.
• Errands w/ B (Zoe's Kitchen, BB&B, Ikea, BRU, Academy, HPB, Target). LSSB resumes. Such bad allergies & asthma. 98% sure we've picked the crib. Order B workout flooring; and breastfeeding, childbirth, & newborn-care books. Sad I'm 3 hours behind on new Downton Abbey b/c too busy w/ registry (crib, glider, decor, products, carriers, etc).
• Third trimester! (& 3 months away!)
• Rain-check new office desk, buy baby memory-book. IHOP & bring home crib w/ B.
• Breastfeeding class. Order bedding swatches. B build dresser.
• LW bday brunch; BBB buy glider, quick World Market, Taco C; continue clean out nursery & put away items; Uncle B pass away. Get rid of old furniture; use new Nikon camera; empty nursery pic; move dressers around; 12 weeks til due date.
• Fasting :( + doc appt (glucose test, Rh shot), Sonic w/ B. New modem.
• Iced-in in Houston (roads frozen, icicles, sleet, road closures). Miss Uncle B's funeral service. Build crib. J over (make cupcakes, J assist cooking dinner, Butter movie, feel baby kick, see crib).
• All-day childbirth class w/ B; Olive Garden; BRU clothes
• Another icy day (no lessons)
• Shopping date w/ KA (Zoe's Kitchen; Highland Village VS, PBK; Mem City VS, Apple), all swatches of bedding in to consider. Debate rugs.
