- the whole town watching fireworks from the fields
- riding bikes around the fields, getting lost and getting sunburnt
- going swimming at the local pool
- catching insects! (but letting them go afterwords)
- fireworks in the front yard
- childhood memories EVERYWHERE
- knowing my mum spent her childhood here and her pointing out little things she remembers
- afternoon naps
- THE FOOD
- mosquito bites!
- hot baths at night
- the silence at night
- having a routine, sleep, eat, sleep
- shopping was rare (:
- the heat 37C everyday!
- cousins' friends coming over to play on their bikes everyday
- the lush green of the rice fields
- that attic
- old photos
- being yourself
- cousins following you and basically loving having you around
- the rare winds
- riding our bikes back from the pools at night
- watching the sunset
- how everyone greets you even though you don't know them/they don't know you
- everyone watching TV every single night
- cold cider after sweating it out outside
- softball games!!
