There's high uric acid in my blood, so I gotta watch what I eat from now on.

  • Drink 12 glasses of water/juice.
  • When shopping
    • NO high-fructose corn syrup
    • NO yeast
    • GO for whole grains, not refined carbs
    • GO for low-fat/fat-free dairy products like cheese and yogurt.
    • saturated fat - little
    • polyunsaturated fat - one gram per serving, GLA high
    • monounstaturated fat - OK
    • fibre - 4 grams per serving, preferably soluble
    • transfats - none
  • Eggs but in moderation.
  • Wine & coffee allowed.
  • No soft drinks and beer in the meantime.
  • No bacon, organ meats, and anchovies.
  • Remove skins.
  • Soups with no broth or meat extract.
  • Tofu is OK.
  • Other Sources: tea, chocolate, wholegrain breads and cereals, oats and oatmeal, yeast and brewer's yeast, ice cream, flavoured squash/fizzy drinks
