• my birthday was on the 15th. I spent the morning with my lovely dog. at 1pm, I got a delivery from the florist's: my mum had selected beautiful red tulips and a weird succulent. It made me really happy, because in this family it is very unusual that somebody thinks of flowers as a gift. I loved the packaging and presentation of the flowers. everything was lovely and I was thrilled with joy! I also got Charlotte Brontë's book "Villette" which I'm very excited to read. On the evening, my dad, my dog, and I went for a little walk in the woods. the sun was setting, but the temperature was quite warm. We saw four deers, which I felt like another gift from Mother Nature. It all was very silent and quiet, everything we could hear was birds tweeting, trees creaking, and the river flowing. it was magical. We left Piña at home, and dad and I went out to the city centre for a stroll in the old part of town. We went to the bars my dad used to go to when he was young. He told me some stories. He talked all the time. Then we had dinner at an Italian restaurant, we shared grilled veggies, he ordered a spicy pizza and I ordered a vegan one. it was a nice dinner, I felt happy to be with him. Grateful. the wonderful day, though, was completed when I went to bed and watched the clear night sky and all the stars shining, the decrescent moon. it was the perfect birthday.
  • the birthday celebrations didn't finish on the 15th. on 18th, my mother had organised a surprise dinner with my uncles, aunts, and cousins. But my little cousin Lucía told me without knowing it was a surprise for me, so it ended up being a regular dinner, but still there were some Birthday songs and good wishes. We went to the lovely village that is Simancas, the night was splendid. It made me feel really honoured that they all gathered 'because of my birthday', and that they even bothered to buy me something special: a beautiful springish handbag from my uncle Miguel's side, and more flowers and a book from my uncle Javier's side. this was specially surprising, specially moving. I love both my uncles so much, but Javi has an emotional side I percieve more deeply. The book was Lucia Berlin's "A Manual for Cleaning Women: Selected Stories", he said he loved it. I am currently reading it, and I am loving it so much as well. It was a great night. my mum is great and so is the rest of the family. I love them all so much.
  • my little terrace with all of my plants. they all look so happy to be there, so lustrous. My aloe is a little weak still but I think it will recover soon.
  • Netflix series "The OA". Masterpiece.
  • Nature. Nature is amazing. I have been loving these in-between winter and spring days. warm but fresh days. a lot of sun, but still cold. insects are coming out of the winter lethargy. almond-trees are blooming, and the rest of the trees are almost there, almost breaking out. it's beautiful.
  • Jane Austen's "Mansfield Park".
  • movie "Some like it hot" that my dad told me to watch. I had never seen any of Marilyn Monroe's movies, I never really paied much attention to her, but when I saw this I was in awe. She was gorgeous.
  • 'Casablanca' and Humphrey
  • 'Tinkerbell and the leyend of the Neverbeast'. It made me cry.
