- quite possibly one of the best years yet. i've grown a lot this year.
- spent NYE at home, which wasn't the worst of ideas
- lots of soba noodles, like this was the year of the soba noodle
- started working at the one shots & ended up hating it; not so much the actual website but more or less the founder. she turned out to be a horrible micromanager
- wallowed around trying to find a real job for the first 2 months of 2014.
- developed 00MAG with rebecca but ultimately and regrettably could not keep up with it
- towards the end of the year, thankfully rejoined 00MAG
- hit a peak for my love of kpop & it has slowly faded. i used to want to exert myself into that world for the wrong reasons.
- but i did develop i pretty large physical album collection :3
- went to fashion week with rebecca & saw the street wear fashion show.
- obsessively watched the 2014 olympics (curling!!)
- got a new(-ish) computer in feb. after my logic board failed
- went to a staffing agency where i was placed at shutterstock as a temp for the recruitment team in march. became full time in june.
- met some amazing and very inspiring people at sstk. they’re helping me develop my career and become a better, stronger, professional person.
- its weird how much you can change once you have someone who believes you will do great things and is actively working to help you reach those goals
- learned that it is okay to fail and make some mistakes. always be thinking 2 steps ahead.
- saw teen top live in march, worked for the events staff & helped with the production of the show. turned out to be kind of unprofessional as 90% of the staff was under the age of 22.
- niel said “thank you! bye, bye!” to me after working the fan signing. he was adorable and so very nice.
- had a photoshoot with dumbfoundead, awkwafina, and rekstizzy
- went to the dramafever awards. lol... saw gary in real life tho.
- ate a lot of kati rolls and pomme frites french fries
- stayed alone in my house while my family went to malta. it was the most refreshing thing ever.
- saw bap live again and was very disappointed in the fans at that show. horrible people. the boys also looked 100% done.
- jane lee stayed over for the easter holiday and we ate a lot of food and drank a lot of alcohol.
- celebrated easter with my 3 cousins (george, rose, christopher) and jane
- went over to auntie rachel’s house with jane for a day before easter pizza lunch
- took a korean class but ended up quitting towards the end of the semester as i wasn’t really focusing
- went back to taking japanese classes. finally finished level 2! signed up for levels 3 & 4 for the new year.
- started seriously thinking about where i’d like to be in 5 - 10 years. i think working within the arts on the business side might be the right step.
- for the past few months a co-worker and i have been meeting with different people around shutterstock to learn about the various career options for next steps in life.
- i’m no longer sad or hopeless. i feel like i will achieve a lot in my life.
- there’s been a lot of silly boy situations in the past year (alan, jamil, anthony, justin, jin, steve, &etc.)
- went to the madeleine exhibit in nyc
- did not go apple picking again this year. i need to make sure it happens for REAL next year.
- i’ve realized its okay not to get married and you can have a very fulfilling life without that type of commitment
- developed my very first budget list
- crafted my wardrobe into a more professional look and feel
- went to LA again for KCON & for a vacation in august. went to santa monica, venice beach, in & out, UCLA, last bookstore, koreatown plaza, little tokyo, tried chicken & waffles (sans the chicken), & saw skid row.
- went to KCON2014 and had a press pass. got to skip a million lines and was able to participate in a hi-touch event with VIXX
- saw g-dragon (again!!), teen top (3x a charm), vixx, cnblue, girls generation, bangtan, &etc. at KCON
- saw VIXX live twice @ KCON & in NYC
- still kinda mad i missed B1A4 when they came in October
- i’m realizing i need to meet new people and make new friends both socially & professionally. i need people who are likeminded in values, goals, ideas, etc.
- i’m losing touch with x, its making me sad but i’ve been feeling this distance since my birthday
- had an okay birthday was supposed to see 1llionaire but they had visa issues and canceled the day before. just went out and grabbed wine with a few friends.
- got an ipad for my bday
- saw 1llionaire in sept with jasmine and alexlyn. kind of turned into a messy night.
- reconnected with chris c. & the years of friendship came back in a second
- quit TNX for good yet still am looking out for the sisters at the chapter and who crossed after me. don’t really care too much for the larger organization though.
- learning to quiet down negative thoughts by letting them go via writing them down, posting on tumblr, etc. instead of letting them build up inwardly.
- halloween was a joke because i was with people who kind of sucked. not everyone but most of them.
- sick on thanksgiving, had a meal home alone
- went back to santaland for year 3. miss my crew from year 2 but this year is still sort of fun. even though i'm 90% over it.
- coworkers came to visit me as an elf, which was surprising but made me really happy.
- quite possibly one of the best holiday seasons since i was small. actually excited about christmas this year.
- met up with gaby & had a good long end of year chat about the possibilities for 2015.
- developing plans for nye with geoff, who will be in town for the holiday. yay~
