I"ve been thinking a lot about this lately. Every time we get into our cars, send a message from our cell phones, crawl into our warm beds at night, turn on our computers or open our fridge doors. . . what a privileged life we lead.

And yet so often I complain that my life isn't fair, that I'm "so poor", that I "hate my life". Its true- life isn't fair. If it was I would have a lot less.

Recently I came across a breakdown of the world's economic demographics that really opened my eyes. The article I read, described the world as if it were a village made up of 100 people (you've probably seen it before). . . "if the earth were a village of 100 people: 80 would live in substandard housing, 67 would be unable to read, 50 would be malnourished and 1 dying of starvation, 33 would be without access to a safe water supply, 39 would lack access to improved sanitation, 24 would n...
