kakak, i remember reading a tweet about how growing up feels like drifting further from the shore of everything that once felt safe. it's scary; the vast sea of uncertainties and the prospect of making one wrong move that could forever alter the course of our lives will never not be scary! but the idea of discovering a brand new shore, where the rain is much more forgiving and the land is filled with an abundance of resources, makes it a little bearable. so many places to go, so many people to love! i hope you don't see birthdays as a dreadful reminder, ya kakak, but rather as something worth celebrating.
