"I told you to stay away from me!" He yelled, the desperation still showing behind the glowing blue liquid leaking from his eyes and nose down his face. Harmony lay on the ground staring at Keon who was hunched over clutching his shirt and the side of his face. Moments ago before she was thrown across the clearing her head was buzzing with questions, now there was nothing to fill the silence of the night as she stared at him in shock. This was a side of Keon she had never seen before, something she hadn't even thought of, and definitely something she could have never predicted. It all made so much sense. The books... the sneaking out... the eagerness to find a cure; everything started to click. This is what he had been doing all of those nights, and Harmony just got a little too close. She tried to push herself up but whimpered and stopped as pain coursed through her body. "Just stay back!" Keon comanded, taking a step away from her. "...Please." The emotion that was rarely on his face once again began to dissolve into his regular blank stare. It must have been the magic wearing off. "Keon, I-" she reached over towards his direction but before she could get another word out, he turned and took off through the undergrowth, leaving Harmony alone on the forest floor staring in his direction.
