- Comments: Who doesn't love having pumpkin pie during the Thanksgiving holiday? This recipe; however, calls for squash instead of pumpkin, which is a fine substitute and I would even venture to say, better than the traditional pumpkin.

- Comments: This was a delicious cheesecake. The goal of America's Test Kitchen was to bake a cheesecake with the same great texture and taste, but reduce the calorie count. Instead of a more regular 4 cups cream cheese, this recipe called for 2 cups cream cheese, with the remainder being made up of yogurt cheese and cottage cheese. The result - perhaps the cheesecake was a little less rich, but the taste was still amazing and it was not "rubbery" in texture as some "low-fat" cheesecakes can turn out.

- Comments: Decided to try a new white frosting. It tastes quite similar to marshmallows. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what I think of that yet.

- Comments: Delicious. The cake is fluffy and moist and the icing adds a nice richness with its lovely vanilla flavor.

- Comments: My family's traditional birthday cake. It is a 2 tier decadent 9" x 13" cake with whipped cream coffee icing between the layers and a chocolate butter icing on top.

- Comments: Lefse has long been a treat in my family, with the tradition being passed down through the generations. Lefse is a Norwegian flat bread, made from potatoes. It can be prepared different ways, with perhaps the most common being simply with butter (but some people add fish or even for dessert, brown sugar).

- Comments: These are excellent chocolate chip cookies. Golden brown edges, but soft in the center. The taste is very rich and decadent! Perfect paired with a cool glass of milk.
