"Why do women like making lists?"
"We don't."
"Yes, they do. You're never quite so happy as when they're making themselves a little list. You ever think about why you make lists?"
"It's so we can cross things off."

I know I'm not perfect, but there are some things I'm just not going to change. That's just who I am.

  • Having a work ethic (sub-topics: wanting to do well at my job/loving my job/not being a slacker)
  • Being stubborn.
  • Making lists incessantly/needing to plan things out (I've loosened up on this one a lot, I think)
  • Setting unreasonably high expectations for myself
  • Liking every type of music (including country), except for most rap
  • Being anti-social for extended periods of time
  • Living in organized chaos (except to the extent that it affects other people)
  • Being a football/hockey/sports fan, even when it means that I sometimes can't focus on conversations if there's a game on

  • My kitten
  • Coffee (making it and drinking it)
  • Crossword Puzzles (and being snobby about doing them in pen)
  • Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me
  • Thunderstorms
  • Pacific Ocean
  • Driving across Wyoming
  • Snow
  • Fires (especially the smell of burning wood)
  • Letters
  • The United Nations
  • Being cold (Especially when I turn the heat all the way off and snuggle under a bunch of blankets at night)
  • Pilates

A selection of quotes from 5B, from my roommate, or from my life without her

  • "Can you febreeze your cat?" (me, in a shining moment of glory)
  • "I did not throw the cat...well, okay, I threw the cat." (Susannah)
  • "Choose the one who loves you more." (Sidewalk advice)
  • "I'm going to sit in the corner and like men." (me)
  • "I saw Ben and I rode his bike. (Pause) No, his actual bike." (Miranda)
  • "The rat was NOT supposed to go in the microwave." (me)
