• Jumping out of the car and spinning around in circles on Beall Ave, and feeling like I was finally home again.
  • E1 redefining words like "distracted," forcing me to forever use them in the context of relationship ridiculousness.
  • The slow but sneaky climb up the English major ladder - sniping a copy editor job at the Voice; which got me to Elizabeth Druga, EIC of the Goliard, which got me a job there; which got me to Jackie Hunter, which got me in on the Dodge.
  • The first time I had five jobs, the terrifying yet empowering feeling of knowing I was and could do it all. (Mom's, PEC, Voice, Goliard, Dodge)
  • Using all of my meal swipes at Java Hut and then getting "reimbursed" in Cross Country funding for meals I missed during meets (in other words, eating for free and getting paid to run when the school thought we were missing Lowry meals and gave us money to compensate - this was before the implementation of Flex Dollars junior year).
  • Java Hut in general. It was the greatest part of The Wired Scot. The lines were insufferable.
  • Participating in philosophical debates while talking like a pirate on Talk Like A Pirate Day.
  • My awkward date with Dan Smith
  • Being the only one showering in the guy's locker room that wasn't a swimmer (and consequently being the only naked one).
  • Going out of my way to recreate the above event with all cross country guys and one swimmer, trying to gauge which was more awkward ("Which is worse: being the only naked guy in a room, or being the only one too scared to get naked?").
  • FENCING ON THE ANNEX ROOF WITH JONAH COMSTOCK
  • The time a hypnotist came to Wooster and pulled me on stage to try and put me under.
  • Take a Penny, Leave a Penny.
  • The Great Piggy Back Race Across Campus (Kathryn and I won against Bill Thomas and Sarah Coffin).
  • Discovering Nathan's love of the "Six To Jesus" game, then updating the rules and revising it to "Six To Optimus Prime"
  • Having Alex Jue on the Wooster website credited as Chalkey Horenstein, proving once and for all that all asians look alike.
  • Recreating the episode of Friends "The One With The Ball" and testing to see if it is, in fact, possible to catch a ball while doing what they did.
  • The Turkey Trot, and trouncing my high school rival Grden
  • Running back to the Annex to take a shower because Holden's were broken, only to realize that I, wearing only a towel, left my COW Card in my jeans pocket.
  • Playing tag with Jared Steed on the Holden staircase (which only ended in tears).
  • National Time Travelers Day. Nathan donned Victorian clothing, Thomas laughed at outdated technology like Facebook, and I represented a Future Chalkey two years into the future that was trying to stop the events that would lead to something terrible Nathan would do to me Senior Year.
  • 2 a.m. fire alarms.
  • Discovering Jared's hatred of the word "hat," and his instinctual reaction to punch Weirdbeard anytime someone said it (although I abused this rule so much that the reaction encompassed me as well).
  • The terrifying lady who said she was "looking for a nice young man to shag balls," only to later realize this is a sports equipment term.
  • The evangelical funeral.
  • The Bay City Incident
  • My reunion with my childhood youth group members, and talking about nothing but sex and booze all night.
  • The three-way scavenger hunt for the "How To Resuscitate An Iguana" sign in Mateer Hall between Nathan, Jared Steed and me. Winner got to keep the Wii after we graduated (Actually, this worked out perfectly, even though we all forgot about it - though for different reasons, Nathan did in fact take the Wii home).
  • Kiss An Asian Day, where I was so successful I could walk into Lowry, hold out my cheek and someone would kiss me (I believe the person who did that was Sarah Vogele).
  • My first accident report from Mom's Truck Stop, after boiling grease attacked my face ("Name: Charles Horenstein. Object that caused incident: Boneless Buffalo Chicken").
  • Conspiring with Krissy Carpenter to get home video footage of Kylie as a temper-tantrum-throwing child.
  • Going to Gala with Jonah because both of our girlfriends were out of town, but then blowing him off for a greasy and romantic getaway with Weirdbeard (ie, I had to work that night at Mom's).
  • Seeing Bloc Party in concert with Alex Jones.
  • The red shirt.
  • Suiting up and winning the world's FIRST Brawl tournament (allegedly so, at least. The midnight release of Brawl was supposed to have a tournament, but the Royal Oak Gamestop messed up and did theirs at eight in the evening).
  • Team Off-Constantly winning the Wooster Brawl tourney. Thanks to Marten for our name...
  • Taunting Justin Epstein with directions around MSU that are actually in reference to streets in Wooster (with Ari).
  • HORRIBLE THINGS (thank you, Jonah Comstock)
  • Dressing up like Canadian pop star Robin Sparkles for Gayla and giving everyone a taste of "Let's Go To The Mall" (and getting out of a fight with a track runner when he realized that the boy he wanted to kill and the girl he wanted to screw were the same person - oh the look on his face).
  • My first bluff paper ("I don't think you actually read these, so to meet the page requirement I'm just going to type 'The cow goes moo' for three more pages")
  • Shaving my head, and actually not looking all that bad.
  • Using Nathan during the Day of Silence to call my mother and get insurance information for the Artful Dodge internship (and having him figure out what my hand gestures meant because someone told me writing things down was cheating).
  • No Pants Day, and having to carry everything around Tommy Pickles style (and the horrified look from the woman updating my COW Card Swipe Access when I had to present my card).
  • The slap bet with Jared over wands. I won, but then during the summer it was overturned. Kylie was the Slap Bet Commissioner.
  • Stealing all of the Wooster golf balls and flooding the waterfall with them on Corey's birthday (I think we did that because he likes golf balls?).
  • Super Mario Bros. 3 Tradition with Jared Steed over exams.
