“I know what I am, and who I want to be. Nothing will take that away from me!”

Personality: Amy Andrés is a carefree, cheerful and bold young hero. She exudes enthusiasm and has a tendency to dive head first into a situation without thinking, and with idealised expectations. Her powers often make her believe she is unstoppable, leading her to forget that she is too young/inexperienced to take on specific threats. She is typically always using her flight powers, hovering casually whenever she can, flying rather than running, and showing excitement by launching from the ground. Despite her impulsive attitude, she is very considerate toward others and wants people to understand one another. This can lead her to misinterpreting what others are saying, and becoming too concerned about what they may think. Most of the time she has her head in the clouds, and struggles to stay realistic, not considering any consequences. She always offers to be the person to rely on when in need, however she is not able to handle her own emotions as thoroughly, since she tends to overthink and worry. Amy is desperate when it comes to wanting to be a hero, it being the primary thing she aspires to be.

Powers: Ultraviolet light is absorbed by Amy’s body automatically without any harmful effects, to which it is converted into visible light once externalised through her hands. The frequency of her photons are yellow, and she can create different shapes of light with her hands; whether they be spheres, shards, lasers, or sparks. Her photokinesis allows her to blind opponents, and give them first degree burns. Lasers are the most powerful form of her photokinesis, which can cut through anything at a faster rate compared to a normal ray of light. Amy’s automatic light absorption enhances her bodily capabilities; having increased strength, agility, reflexes, and the ability to fly. The fastest she can propel herself is to 60 km/h, and is more nimble, stronger and flexible than the average 13 year old girl. She can additionally charge light in the palm of her hand to create more powerful melee attacks.

She has immunity toward radiation and light in general, not able to be blinded or burned by the radiation she fires, except if she uses her lasers. That’s when she begins to squint due to the brightness, and when it begins to hurt her hands. However, she builds an immunity to them as she ages. During the day, Amy is strongest, however at night, if not exposed to any sources of light, she relies on the energy stored in her body throughout the day to use. If she uses high amounts of light without any clear sources in the dark, she can run out of the amount in her body and be unable to project it. Amy’s over all capabilities and flight will also falter if she has no light stored in her body.

As she grows older, certain aspects of her powers develop and gain in strength.

Skills: As a bilingual, Amy can speak fluent english and spanish. Her father would speak spanish to her all the time as a child, so she developed the ability to understand and speak it.

Role within the Squadron: Amy is the founder of Squadron Zero, and was largely the leader of it when it was established. By the time the group was legalised, Cadence Walker took over the title as leader. Amy remains a member who occasionally takes the leadership role, however she mostly serves as the ranged fighter who is able to attack from far distances.

Hobbies: Amy used to play soccer for most of her younger years, until her powers began to manifest. She stopped playing for a while, since she didn’t know how to regulate them while under pressure. When she started attending Montgomery Academy, there was great improvement in the control of her photokinesis and flight, so her parents allowed her to play again. For the most part, soccer was a distraction, and got her to think of something outside of wanting to be a hero. Amy had stopped playing soccer for the final time when she became irritated with Montgomery and their lack of allowance for her to join a squadron. Her emotions became too extreme, accidentally beginning to hover and project light during games, so her parents had to pull her out. Instead, Amy took up drama classes and still continues to attend them. They fit her animated nature perfectly, and seemed like a good outlet to express herself and any emotions she had been bottling up. As for other hobbies, she likes reading from time to time, and is learning to speak Euskara.
