✧CONTEMPLATING THE PAST AS YOU MAKE YOUR WAY OUT OF THE IRON CAGE:

• a year ago, you mourned your grandmother's death. a few months ago, you mourned the death of a friend. a month ago, you mourned your grandfather's death and prepare for his funeral. a lot of your friends have left the iron cage and are moving towards university and college. you have made so many connections at school, internships, and other organizations and so many mistakes with academics, relationships, and more. at the end of the day, you must prepare for yourself to leave the iron cage and eventually prepare or at least set your self up for the future. this journey to leave the iron cage starts with a terrifying new challenge, a new school year followed by the common app.

✧ NEVER ENOUGH:

• 08/01/2024 ➣ you wake up knowing the common app is here. you wake up with three trig tests in the next four days. you wake up with an ass schedule at normal high school which you shouldn't have and need to get fixed. you revise your college essay, get some stuff done at school, see a lot of old faces at the school event, and get back to work.
• 08/02/2024 ➣ you wake up in the middle of night and convinced yourself to get some work done using your new headphones and your newfound thinking. you might have been inspired by one of your favorite youtubers, omni, so thanks man. as you study, you get a text from big tooth bitch about college admissions. she's stressing too so you help her despite how you feel about her. she compliments you a lot but you worry if this glazing is just an attempt to get your attention again. after a lot of studying, you finished your test with a 95% and move on with life.
• 08/03/2024 ➣ you played a lil bit of denpa men, overcooked, and ultimate chicken horse with friends after your successful test. you gotta go back to studying today though. you watched all of ninjago dragons rising season 2 part 2 and that was some good shit.
• 09/04/2024 ➣ it was a long day filled with studying and studying and studying. one of your little cousins came over and was bothering you over stuff. he tried to get a skim off of you for fortnite but aint no way you were gonna do that.
• 08/05/2024 ➣ you go to sleep knowing you got a final to pass. you wake up and do some small things here and there. you also get a nice letter of recommendation from your ap english teacher and decided to keep moving on. you studied all day for the test and when you submitted it, you got a clear 100. it was enough to push you to an a, but. will he drop the grade to a b+?????
• 08/06/2024 ➣ you're anxious the entire day because your teacher decided to do some good things to your grade to keep you at an a. you played some denpa men and went shopping for some cool threads that were actually your style. you decided to get though some other things and watch your friends talk about relationships while playing the sims until you worked on some stuff for your grandfather's funeral.
• 08/07/2024 ➣ you work on the funeral presentation for your grandfather and head to bed. you get some things done but not much as you prepare to head to your school one more time before the school year.
• 08/08/2024 ➣ you went shopping again and went for another blessing and saw cousins and family. they all grow up too fast. you were able to get some work done on the funeral and even attend the intern party. as you drive home, you look and see what you have left to complete.
• 08/09/2024 ➣ you really need to lock in more and prepare for the future. you wake up and find out your gift has arrived. you finish up some ap gov work. you get ready to go to the party. you guys play golf, play some arcade games, and your friend really enjoyed her gift of the nanami plush. as everyone leaves and get their final goodbyes in, you watch those high school graduates talk as you prepare for the year in the background. you leave driving off with all of them hyping you up. you wonder how things will move on pushing forward. you come home to work on the funeral presentation and the fasfa.
• 08/10/2024 ➣ after a stupid hair cut and some more threads to put on, you see some family and your baby cousin again and play fortnite with him to get lucky in an entire lobby of bots and win the battle royale. you prepare to wrap up ap gov unless you plan on taking the ap exam.
• 08/11/2024 ➣ you have finished up ap gov. now to finish ap macro quick enough before it becomes an issue. you finish up the funeral presentation and spend six hours on the day on your college essay only to go through more revisions in the near future. you talk to some friends and prepare for another school year.

✧ LET'S DO THIS ONE LAST TIME:

• 08/12/2024 ➣ you wake up one more time for a first day of school. it was a long ass line, and not just traffic. there was a long line due to the new metal detector situation. it's good to see people can recognize your face and also good to see that your favortism pays off and gets your schedule fixed immediately. you saw a lot of old faces and hugged a lot of old friends. it was good to see them grown up but you head home to get some work done here and there. you now start your era of not going to school all that often.
• 08/13/2024 ➣ wow, everyone's at school but you're not. it was kind of a boring day. sure you prepped for the sat and you also got macroeconomic stuff out the way but goddamn how boring shit can get when you're an early admission student. everyone's just living their senior year or freshman year of college while you're just stuck. you decide to take a walk late at night listening to set it off's midnight album. afterwards you got on a call with friends and decided to make your friend in canva as the game cover of luigi's mansion based on his situation in his garage.
• 08/14/2024 ➣ after playing smash bros by yourself you head to bed. you wake up and you get some chores done but you ultimately prepare for your baby cousin to show up. you guys play smash bros while giving him a dead controller, watching the peak show known as ninjago, and do some exercise together. you were able to wrap up some stuff for macroeconomics and denpa men before heading to bed.
• 08/15/2024 ➣ you head to bed as you're about to take another trip to jamaica to mourn a family member. you wake up tired in the middle of the morning to go to the airport. after dealing with annoying and miserable security here and there you find your gate. after a quick flight ypu've reached your destination. you travel around for a bit until you reach your grandmother's grave. her stupid daughter left it a mess because there's so many vines and grass over it. you were playing denpamen during the trip and caught one near her grave in her honor. eventually you reach the airbnb, with exercise equipment (that was broken), a pool and a hot tub (which were never used due to murky water), and even some arcade machines. you only played the street fighter one but it was pretty cool. eventually yall left to go see some family here and there and got some bbq kfc. once you got home, you realized that your friend ra sha sha had your location from earlier and alerted the group chat that you were out of the country. you planned on never telling them, but at least you don't have to tell them the reason. you play some games and head to sleep.
• 08/16/2024 ➣ you wake up to both an earthquake and a bat in the house. you spent a lot of time outside today as you headed over to dunns river falls with family. you climbed the river, spent time with family, took a lot of pictures, and even got a jamaican bracelet as a souvenir. unfprtunately life is rough in jamaica, as everyone is begging and doing their best to get as much money as they can out of you and your family. however, the worst part is that you guys left so late, you had to choose a back road. even worse, the gps told you guys to go to the "precipice roads", filled with nothing but forest, stone, potholes, rough drivers, and literal precipices that could've ended your life. you got home and talked with friends again. however, the same person who wanted to kill a fetus is having drama which you predicted and there's mental breakdowns happening due to your absence for the engineering club. you go to sleep only to mourn.
• 08/17/2024 ➣ it was a quiet morning. it was time for everyone to dress and black and head to the funeral. the viewing was gloomy, the words shared were bittersweet, and it was just an upset car ride for you. you cried some more once more with the blazing sun beatimg your face as you held on to the gate that surrounded your grandfather's final resting place. he has been buried. after some food and some cleaning up, you head back home and stop by to get some pizza.
• 08/18/2024 ➣ you wake up and prepare to go back home. you had to rush one assignment because it forced you to used a paper towel to make your graph. after that, you got some more assignments done and ate some popeyes chicken. you then said goodbye to some family once more and you all headed towards the airport. it was a tedious trip but you guys eventually got home. even your uncle had some "boss man moves" and got you and your family special seating. you came home and heard your other uncle talk about his experience about the way of life, the roads, the precipics, and a lot more.

✧ LET'S DO THIS ONE LAST TIME:

• 08/19/2024 ➣ you go to sleep with barely any room to sleep and wake up late. you get ready for school and you tried to work on revit but it was a lil difficult and time consuming. you had conversations about engineering projects and solar car. a lot of people are talking to you about getting a girlfriend or dating someone, how weird. after being tired and hungry for so long you go to sleep and get stuff done and prepare for the next day.
• 08/20/2024 ➣ so you found a student who want to build 1000 mph hydrogen powered cars, yeah that's some good stuff. after some good conversations, you got some more information on the solar car. you went to go put up posters and saw your aphg teacher, to be honest, he's a chill guy, but the interaction was like a meeting with the devil. going to school on the bus and leaving just honestly sucks. • 08/22/2024 ➣ nobara kugisaki is back everyone! you talk about dazai's hands in class, not the best look. you also get some work done and turn in some paper work and go to the jlj for a small meeting for your class of 2025. all the senior officers were there and it was a good meeting. you got some other things done and it was a lot of walking around. you eventually finish your first revit test and you keep it moving. you have your first nhs meeting of the year and it was pretty successful and it seems like things are gonna be cool.
• 08/23/2024 ➣ you got to school and hated the fact you had to go through the metal detectors once again. your day started with some assistance here and there with revit and even the preparation of a basketball recycle bin. while you gave a bunch of internship opportunities out, you were given the chance to communicate with one of the best staff in the school. after that, you did some more running around and even got some things to add your classes to your schedule. your final task was to obtain the receipt book but it caused you running through the rain and running through the big gym during an entire pep rally. you eventually got the chance to rest while your nerdy friend expresses his dislike for pep rallies while also being gay. you go home to see your old underclassmen friends in ap bio and head home. you prepare for your sat and talk to friends, especially when it was ra sha sha's birthday.
• 08/24/2024 ➣ you woke up and got ready to go take your sat. the line was very very long so you had to start walking towards the building just to make it in on time. you eventually got situated and realized how many people you knew were actually taking the test. you had seen some friends from elementary school and others from your high school. you did miss your middle school friend who was supposed to see you. after taking test, you took a mile walk around your neighborhood contemplating life and what would happen if you get a high or low sat. you then come back inside determined to do better on the next sat.
• 08/25/2024 ➣ you realized that getting into mit might just be impossble for you right now. you played fortnite with a friend and got a lot of work done. you are trying to finish the gates scholarship and other stuff. you finished the genshin event quest, now you somehow need to finish the rest of the story quests before wednesday.
• 08/26/2024 ➣ you go to school for the university visit and it was pretty cool. you also get access to the special pool of applications where they judge you just based on your school, so you have that in the bag. it was weird because you had to deal with brownie again and she wanted you to sit next to you which could have caused some troubles, but it was chill. also why is the guy that was obsessed with her dealing with another girl. you make some flyers and run up and down and make some good progress. you send one text about a powerpoint and you already know you accidentally caused a shit show.
• 08/27/2024 ➣ you go to school and spend nearly the entire day putting up flyers and walking back and forth around the building. if it's not flyers, then it's talking to kids about internships. the stupid couple eventually pretty much find a way to get everyone mad at you over a simple powerpoint. you understand that the lack of organization and communication is on you, but goddamn it's almost as if they are trying to kick you out your own club. luckily, it seems like they are stupid enough to insult you without realizing you are in the chat. it is also quite reassuring to know that your gang and other people are on your side. but hey, at the end of the day, it looks like this season you're gonna be a villian. but hey you get to play genshin 5.0.

✧ UNDERSTOOD:

• 08/28/2024 ➣ you wake up knowing three people don't like you very much over a powerpoint. so the people who came to you in the morning understand where you are coming from, but it was not easy getting the others on your side as they continued to be disrespectful. after some walks and a bad meeting, you accidentally made the magnet coordinator find out about the issue. you go home, get some work done, and kinda fret for tomorrow.
• 08/29/2024 ➣ so despite all the tension in the morning, you went to see your second school mother. she's on your side and she wants doors to open for you so you now have an organized team ready to get solar car done. you also have plans on who to no longer be friends with. it was a long day and a lot of walking as well as a lot of weird moments. your ap euro and ap human geo teacher believe you might talk shit about them and atp it doesn't matter but at the same time they could be trying to mess with you. you also realized that sga might be a pain but it's okay cause you did this to yourself. after a good nhs meeting and a nice walk, you go to sleep and get work done.
• 08/30/2024 ➣ waking up to knowing you got some haters, some fakers, some work, and some support. unfortunately your friend had a panic attack about the whole situation that happened and you and another friend were able to comfort her. the entire day you struggled to finish two bulletin boards before you. while this day happened, one of the band kids almost got jumped. you also found out that big tooth bitch is getting cheated on the same guy she ignored for the entirety of last school year until they started dating. which is kind of crazy because she probably got with him because you weren't giving her any more attention and she needed something. it is sad though because she's gonna be devastated. not only that but your nhs advisor punched a glass window after someone tore down her bulletin board. you finally left and got some work done and walked as you were going crazy over the drama.
• 08/31/2024 ➣ you got some work done here and there. you unfortunately could not continue your 10k walking streak, but you got a lot of jewels in denpa men. at the same time, your house almost got struck by a bolt of lightning. you even finished the tower in bsd

✧ MONTH CLOSURE:

• after another internship ended and after another funeral, you go back to the iron cage one last time. you were able to talk with old friends who already graduated and make plans with the underclassmen to do great this year. this includes a lot of work and a lot of running around the school even though you should be off campus. the worst thing is a stupid brat who causes more drama over a powerpoint, but it got your team on track for solar car challenge. but you've never felt more shackled to the iron cage until now.
