• 2022 reflections. — 12/3/22
  • Because the year is about to end, I wanted to go through and check what rambles I have on here before I archive this list. Reading them has—once again—made me sad. I can’t tell if I’m still in the “funk” I mentioned in a previous entry, or if I’ve just changed. I mean, a year is a long time, and I have gone through a lot. On the bright side, I noticed a bit of development in my writing style. One thing that remains constant is my lack of knowledge on how semicolons work; I still love them though! — 12/1/22
  • One of my favorite things about music is how versatile it is. Each listener has their own interpretations and makes their own connections. — 11/24/22
  • Over the summer I would obsessively listen to "Shoop" by Salt-N-Pepa. I memorized the entire song and annoyed my family and friends by singing it any chance I got. Eventually, I got a little sick of it and stopped listening to it. But now I'm obsessed with it again. Ten out of ten, would recommend. — 11/3/22
  • Ever since I realized that 2023 is in 2 months, I have had to restrain myself from making my 2023 lists. I'm pretty sure this will be my third (maybe fourth) year being a Listography user... Wowza! I wish I started writing down what movies and shows I watch, what books I read, what art I create, et cetra sooner. — 10/10/22
  • Today I walked ten miles straight with no stops… I am so insanely proud of myself! It started off amazing, but two miles in, I started to get tired. Eight miles in is when I felt the worst, but no matter how much I wanted to fall down and die, I kept going! I plan on doing this again but not for a long, long while. — 10/8/22
  • I wonder how many spelling errors there are on my Listography. Please let me know if you find any, it's driving me insane! — 10/6/22
  • This weekend I sewed for twelve hours straight. That’s right, TWELVE! My mom and I went to an overnight sewing party from Saturday to Sunday, and we made it through the whole thing without falling asleep. I’m honestly very surprised, I really thought we would’ve gone home early. While I was there, I finished my weed bag that I started a while back in a paid class where the instructor literally told us to watch a YouTube video, and my beloved skbag (I will definitely be making more, by the way). Both of those can be found in my art list. I started to make a quilt with a pre-cut fabric selection that I won there and worked on it a bit more today. I had so much fun… can’t wait for next time! — 10/4/22
  • I've been so riled up about how much I hate This Is Where It Ends recently; I bring it up whenever I can. Never, in my entire life, have I ever hated anything nearly as much as I hate this Godforsaken book. I think I'm going to go on a walk to calm down... — 10/2/22
  • My rendition of the bend and snap is brushing my hair behind my ears with my phone turned on in my hand so people can see the album cover of what I’m listening to. — 9/30/22
  • I've been working on a short story and holy wowza is it hard to write long stuff! (Oops, that doesn’t make sense. It’s just longer than what I’m used to.) This has made me realize why I'm a poet and not an author... I'm still having a lot of fun with it though! Maybe I'll post it here. — 9/28/22
  • Tidbits from today: 9/27/22
    • I wish I could burn every memory of me from 2020 to mid 2021.
    • I wonder how many thoughts I’ve had that I haven’t shared; how many thoughts have been lost to time.
    • I still don’t fully understand how to use semicolons. I really hope I’m not making a fool of myself.
    • Why are guns so important to America?
    • Jeffery Dahmer would have been normal if he wasn’t born in the hellhole that is Ohio.
    • I came up with a joke that makes me laugh uncontrollably every time I tell it: What do you call a cannibal that costs 100 cents? Jeffery Dollar! (Please don't steal this.)
  • A little over a week ago KMFDM came out with a new album! Ever since I heard about it I've been super excited, but upon listening I was a little disappointed. It's not bad per se, it's just not what I expected. HYËNA is still industrial, but much less intense and more pop-inspired than I wanted. Some songs are pretty... bad. This is mainly because KMFDM experimented with this album, and I'm all for experimenting! When it's done properly. Plus, when I listen to KMFDM I want industrial music, not rap or dub! I think it's great they decided to explore their musical horizons, and I know they've done it in the past with IN DUB and including pop elements in their songs, but this just isn't really my thing. I think they did a good job with "IMMORTALLY YOURS," which has some pop elements to it, but I feel it was executed poorly in "ROCK 'N' ROLL MONSTER" and "IN DUB WE TRUST." On the other hand, the title track, "ALL 4 1," and "BLACK HOLE" are all really good. They stay true to what the band is known for and branch out a bit; I'm all for experimenting when it's done right. The rest is good, just not very notable. Overall, I like the album, I just wish they would have done some stuff differently. (Please take everything I said with a grain of salt, I really have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to music genres.) — 9/19/22
  • I took off the two necklaces that I always wear for the first time in two months because homecoming is tomorrow (well, its 1 in the morning, so technically today) and I feel so naked… I can’t wait until I can put them back on; I miss them so much :( — 9/17/22
  • I just read through all my old rambles and they made me sad. I started this year with such high hopes; I was happy. But recently I’ve been in a funk. I’m not depressed, I’m just not my usual cheery self. Plus, the enlightening affects of Riding the Bus with my Sister have worn off. Hopefully I can start feeling better soon. — 9/12/22
  • One of the funniest things someone can do is put “racists” in their dislikes section. No dip! Sensible people don’t like racists, you don’t need to clarify that. — 9/12/22
  • Bleeeaaaaagghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! — 9/12/22
  • I never have a problem being without my phone. I use it a lot, and it's my first resort when I need something to quench my boredom, but I can go without my phone for extended periods of time without difficulty. And that's why I'm so confused about what happened today. My phone died during first period; I was totally fine until lunch when I started to beg my friend to see his phone just so I could check Twitter. I have no idea why I had this desperate need to scroll through Twitter, but it's definitely something I need to work on. — 9/9/22
  • Dearest Jenna, I am extremely shocked at finding out that your new hobby is… car shopping? I never thought of that as a hobby. Okay, I guess I kind of understand it, but YOU being the one with that hobby? Crazy. Never ever would have even CONSIDERED that happening. Hey, you know what would be fun? You picking out my first car! And I say that because I think it would be fun for you, definitely not because I’m lazy! — 9/6/22
  • Today was a fantastic day! I am helping run the craft station for my church's Vacation Bible School this week, so I woke up at about 7:30 and got there at 8:20. For today's craft, we made pet rock cacti that are super cute and fun to make. After everyone was done, they got a spiral snake thingy to color and cut out. All the kids seemed to enjoy it! Once VBS was done, I made one of the snakes to put in my room. Then, my mom and I went to Wendy's, and I got a chocolate frosty. After that, we headed to the park so I could practice my lines for the play I'm in; I'm pretty sure I got them all down! Opening night is Friday and I am so super excited! Before we went home, I checked the grass for four-leaf clovers, and I found one! Not only that, but I also found a five-leaf clover! Isn't that crazy? I didn't even know that was possible! I can't believe I found my first four- and five-leaf clover on the same day. Once we got home, I ate some chicken nuggets, and now I am writing this! There have been a few low bits of the day, but overall I am so so so happy that I don't even have the words to express it! — 6/7/22
  • I have no idea why I set my reading goal for this year so high because at the rate I'm going right now, I will never reach that goal. The problem isn't time; I have plenty of time to read. I just chose not to. Today my family went out to celebrate my dad and aunt's birthdays and there was a long car ride to get to the restaurant. Intending to read, I left my Nintendo DS at home so I would have no excuse not to... You'll never guess what happened. I didn't read. At all. Instead, I spent the entire time sitting on my phone doing God knows what. If I ever expect to reach my goal, I really need to step it up! — 6/4/22
  • There is a milestone in my friendships that very few have reached. Reaching this milestone indicates intimacy that can only be achieved through an extended period of trust, loyalness, love, and harmony. This milestone is watching Jessica Darling's It List. Jessica Darling's It List is possibly the worst movie I have ever watched in my life, and that's what I love so much about it. The acting is horrendous, the plot is incredibly idiotic, and the editing is immature. I'm not entirely sure when I found this movie, but I know that the moment I saw that brightly colored rectangle on my television screen when looking for something to quench my boredom... I fell in hate. The childish beauty of this film may only be blessed upon those I deem worthy. Also, I think Jessica, Marcus, and Hope are in a polyamorous relationship. — 4/29/22
  • The cover of Weezer's Blue Album is, without a doubt, the worst album cover to ever exist. It's just so plain; half the cover is blue, for crying out loud! There's nothing interesting to look at besides the awkward stance of the band's members. Whoever came up with the idea for this horrendous creation needs to be fired, killed, and sent directly to hell. The editor too. And anyone else who assisted in making that monstrosity. — 3/27/22
  • I usually watch the news in the morning, but in light of recent events, it's gotten pretty depressing. So, to prevent myself from spiraling, I have started watching Home & Garden Television. That channel is pretty spectacular if I do say so myself. I have no idea how many shows are on that network, but I can guarantee that at least 75% of them are exactly like House Hunters. The hosts are almost always a couple in their early 30s/late 20s with a tight-knit team of house renovators. The wife is the short interior designer, and the husband likes to smash walls with hammers. Of course, there are some exceptions to this rule. And by "some," I mean two; the one show with the two brothers and the one with the mother and daughter. All this to say, Home & Garden Television is my favorite television channel. It's ridiculous how similar all the shows are, and that's charming to me. — 3/24/22
  • Last night I watched The LEGO Batman Movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was hilarious. I laughed throughout the entire movie, but had to FORCE my dad to laugh. How RUDE of him not to laugh at the funny jokes in the first place! The only thing I didn’t like was stupid Barbara Gordon. She thinks she’s soooo cool and soooo awesome, but she’s not. She’s average. She’s not cool or awesome or anything like that. GOD, I strongly dislike her. I don’t know, maybe she’s less annoying in other movies and whatnot. Maybe I would have liked her better if she wasn’t Batman’s love interest. That part ENRAGES me. THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO BE FRIENDS!! I will definitely be bringing this up with my therapist next time I see her. — 3/18/22
  • The birds sang this morning. Their cheerful melody floating through the cool air paired with the full moon in the blank sky assured me that today would be a great day. — 3/17/22
  • Pi day is truly one of the best days ever. How many numbers do you know have their very own day? One. And that is pi. Now, I know what you're asking: "What exactly is pi?" You see, pi is a magnificent number because it starts with a three, isn't even, allows me to eat pie in class (I'm not too fond of pie, but it's still fun), and has something to do with circles. I love pi. Oh, you're asking what else I love? The Batman. I love The Batman. Before this weekend I had never seen any Batman moves. That's a lie, I think. I’ve seen Suicide Squad (which doesn’t really count, but whatever) and maybe some others with my brother when I was younger. Either way, this movie has made me go insane. In a good way, of course. It has consumed my thoughts, much like South Park, Eddsworld, and Rick and Morty once did. I am okay with this, for the most part. The extensive list of movies, TV shows, games, and comics for me to indulge in is both heartwarming and daunting. Wish me luck on my venture into the DC Universe. — 3/14/22
  • Last Friday was the end of the third quarter. I was never able to get my B+ up to an A, but it’s okay. Kinda. Anyways, that means summer is coming up soon! Like, really soon. Like nine weeks soon. I’m excited for summer because I will be able to go on walks and bike rides and stay up later without suffering the next day. Last summer, my best friend lived within walking distance of me which was super convenient, but we aren't friends anymore, LOL. It will be weird not being able to see someone whenever I want. Oh well. I plan on creek hiking, actual hiking, camping, going foraging, walking, biking, et cetera. Very hyped! — 3/7/22
  • Today was an above-average day! Then again, all my days are above average. It seems like I haven’t had a bad day in forever. Today was also productive. I completed two pieces of art: one is posted here; I started the other a LOOOOONG time ago. I just finished it today to enter in a contest on Everskies. (Even though I’m not too fond of that site I like to fool around on it occasionally.) All my homework was completed at school (as always), and I made good progress on my painting in art class. Currently, I have three A+s, three As, and one B+ that I MUST GET UP! Then, right when I was about to meditate, Jake called... Talk about lousy timing! — 3/3/22
  • Im just like Bill Nye FR. And my science teacher. (Honestly, I think they're the same person, but that's a conversation for another day.) I get super hyped and engaged when I'm in science class. In fact, I get so excited that my friends think I'm crazy. That's most likely what Bill Nye was like at my age. Bill Nye is my spirit animal. — 2/24/22
  • I'm absolutely horrendous at solitaire. At first I do fine and I'm like, "Wow, this is super fun! I'm so good at solitaire; I should play more often." As always, I eventually get stuck, which sucks... There's literally no way to win, I swear. — 2/23/22
  • I'm incredibly grateful for my mom's killer chocolate chip cookie recipe. They taste like heaven. I made cookies following her recipe to give to teachers and friends over the weekend; everyone loved them! My English teacher even asked for the recipe. — 2/23/22
  • My least favorite part of my day would have to be showering. Don't get me wrong, I love showering! It's just that first spray of icy cold water that bothers me. I get as far away from the showerhead as I can, but it still hits my toes… It's awful! — 2/18/22
