Pet peeve (sexist) comments over the years?

• He's why I have tattoos.
  • I had ten tattoos before meeting him (including tattoos on my breasts). I have more tattoos because I have a tattoo artist living with me.
• He's why I like punk.
  • I still don't listen to american hardcore but I've always listened to 1970s punk from the U.S. and London, and turned him on to an era of punk and post punk he had never listened to before. Strangely, I think he'd say I had a bigger influence on his music tastes than the other way around.
• I'm influenced by his work.
  • He had never read graphic novels. I introduced him and encouraged him to write (and I edited and contributed to the projects).
• He influenced my style.
  • I renewed his interest in fun fashion, and old band tees, because I collected old vintage tees for years. My fun with fashion has evolved non-stop over the years from goth to gap depending on my mood and whether I was in grad school.
• He turned me onto nightlife.
  • I owned an indie club (booking queer, punk, indie, comedy, djs, etc) for a year and participated in the bay area music scene for ten years (photographing it, touring with bands, making videos, etc). Music and nightlife have been a big aspect of my life.

We are a good match.
