• Hubs still unemployed
    • Curbing spending
    • Actually setting up a spreadsheet for grocery purchases to help figure out our food budget
  • Birthday (__30th__, 11/18)
    • Went crazy, bought Wall-E and an advent calendar
    • Dinner at Ruby Tuesday (downgrade from sushi/Cheesecake Factory tradition)
    • Early present of a MacBook takes care of future birthdays/Christmas for both of us
  • Put up the Christmas tree (11/19)
    • No, it's not too early
    • Moved the table out of the dining room
    • Now the tree has center stage
  • TV died, now it's out in the garage
    • Feeling slightly pioneer-like
    • But also feeling liberated
    • No more advertising (except online and in print), which is very nice (no pressure to BUY or BE anything else)
    • Blowing up the library card and reading fiction like crazy
    • Ironically, watching more movies (see above item)
    • Considering cancelling Netflix
    • Enjoying Hulu.com
    • Using the credenza for Christmas decor instead of as TV/DVR/DVD Player stand (prime real estate)
  • Stayed up ALL NIGHT to read "Twilight" (11/22)
    • File under "Reliving Adolescence", "Too Old for This"
    • Good thing there's no TV to tease me with the movie trailer. Otherwise I might actually step inside a theater for the first time in years.
    • Too late. Made movie date with my sister.
    • As of 11/24, I'm now on Book 3. I haven't read this fast in... well, maybe never.
    • 11/26- finished the last book! And saw the movie! Husband is on book 3. Whatta champ!
  • Somehow lost 5 pounds. Hope I never see it again.
  • And then, Thanksgiving in South Carolina. So, yeah. Those 5 pounds will probably be reappearing.
