• not getting much sleep because the upstairs neighbors had an all night long party
  • cold rainy december weather, waiting at the bus stop for a long time; a foreigner taking the bus to the airport with me, he didn't know how to buy a ticket and didn't have any cash - neither did i, so he rode without ticket and i kept stressing out that there would be a ticket control (there wasn't)
  • sunrise on the flight to eindhoven, so colorful and saturated and beautiful
  • the small eindhoven airport & mcdonald's still closed at that time, walking around the area for a bit, waiting for the bus to amsterdam to arrive (it was late)
  • arriving at christmas-decorated amsterdam and getting completely lost for a while (so many narrow streets and bridges and canals)
  • our hostel in one of the buildings by a canal, so very amsterdam-style, and the narrowest, steepest staircase (the stairs were almost a ladder, really); the kindest people working there; the inside of the hostel being a bit fogged at all times and it always smelled like marihuana; the tiny 8-people room, bunk beds (surprisingly comfortable, with warm blankets), small window
  • leaving our stuff and going out to explore a bit and finally eat something; the town being absolutely stunning; the amount of trams and bikes and people being able to cross the street wherever in such traffic being absolutely terrifying
  • christmas market area with an ice-skating rink
  • eating at mcdonald's every single day because i couldn't afford other restaurants' food (and mcdonald's was expensive as heck too)
  • their lidl doesn't have cola?
  • evening walk back to the christmas market to see the lights and people skating; going to sleep late
  • concert day and so many emotions; seeing news about people queuing already in the morning; running there with breakfast (the bit of baguette in my mouth) and finding out that there were just a few people. went to starbucks then and the lady taking my order realized i was polish (so was she) and we had a little chat
  • the two dutch girls i met in the queue and how nice they were towards me, sharing their blanket and translating important stuff for me; then they left me for other dutch friends and i was all alone not understanding a thing but it was okay too (a confusing adventure); the problems with the queue that weren't actually a problem (apart from the fact that i wasted an entire day), but at least they told us to leave at lunchtime so i ate (all the food i'd bought the day before remained untouched since i couldn't think about eating); meeting up with my friend at mcdonald's to eat, she told me about the museum she visited
  • going back to the hostel to rest a bit and then coming back to the queue; the absolute chaos of it all
  • seeing tbz through the windows that lifted the moods up
  • it was pouring the entire day
  • when i finally entered the venue (in panic and with backache), and couldn't open a locker to leave my things in, running around the place looking for some dang 2 euro coin (finding it eventually)
  • waiting for the concert with the boyz music in the background; staff handing out water (thank god); my handmade banner that survived so much; absolutely no service and no internet inside the venue
  • i still don't believe it all happened and can still remember all the tingly feelings and the happiness and how i wasn't tired anymore (the backache stayed but not so bothersome anymore); the juyeon smile during melting heart, the absolute party that concert was, the amount of fun i had, the pride flag, the stories they told, the happy birthday for eric, the hitouch
  • some people decided to stay afterwards and see them off, i was okay with just standing on the other side of the street from where they all were and happily talking with some random passerby asking about who they were to cause such a fuss in the city
  • going to sleep very late only when i was too tired and only when i thought about how i have to be rested for the museum visit the next day
  • van gogh museum! i kind of felt hungover after the previous night but it didn't stop me from feeling many things, so many things; the descriptions of the paintings were just as beautiful as the paintings and made me very emotional as well
  • all the items in the museum shop i wanted (but luckily didn't have the money for); postcards and memories are always more than enough
  • last amsterdam evening by the ice skating rink, with churros and chocolate sauce (way too sweet), and with peppermint tea made from fresh leaves
  • last night alarm? at the hostel? i still don't know what it was about but it scared me so much
  • going on foot to the bus stop to get back to eindhoven at an impossibly early hour; a different bus came instead of ours but i was too sleepy to care, as long as it took us to the airport (which it did)
