- live in a small 2-storey house i own
- huge personal library
- either live alone or with a long-term partner
- be a full-time writer, with a variety of projects (fiction, nonfiction, children's books, scripts, etc)
- live in an area with lots of culture (theatre, music, libraries, art shows, etc.)
- live on a regular schedule, with "scheduled spontaneity"
- have a guest room where anyone can stay at any time
- grow flowers and maybe some vegetables
- have a couple pets
- sing and act as a hobby
- play trombone and piano again, maybe guitar
- have dinner parties with friends on a regular basis
- go to meeting every week
