• not authentic cause it's vegan (no dairy)
    • here "brown" sugar is cane sugar
      • 1 tbsp coconut oil
      • 1 tsp vanilla extract
      • A pinch of salt
    • in a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients and stir frequently until the mixture thickens and turns a caramel color (about 10–15 minutes)
    • remove from heat and stir in the coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt
    • once cooled it's more dense and stiffer, i'll use it for cookie filling, pies, crêpes and cakes
  • !!! it's very very VERY sweet !!! at least for me, so i'll try to pair it with subtle flavours
