Imagine being a deeply thoughtful, intensely feeling child growing up in a family that is neither. Imagine your intense feelings being ignored or discouraged. Imagine that your thoughtfulness is viewed as a weakness.

I don't really want to whine, so it's gonna be short - emotional neglect makes beautiful things look ugly, leastwise that's how I felt. Sometimes the mere fact of being offered tenderness proves the fact that i am broken. There's a long long journey ahead of me. And the road will never end. Not like it's a bad thing :)
