adapted from this recipe

  • 1 lb. little yellow potatoes
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp scallion whites, minced
  • 2 c water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp agave
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • sesame seeds and green onion for garnish
    • heat oil in a skillet. add potatoes, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, occasionally shaking the pan.
    • add garlic and scallion whites, stirring for 1 minute.
    • add water, soy sauce, agave, and gochujang. bring to a simmer, cover, and cook until potatoes are wrinkly and tender, and sauce is thickened.
    • turn off heat. stir in sesame oil, toss with sesame seeds and scallion greens. serve.
