STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH (MOVIE)
- “you were the choosen one! it was said that you would destroy the sith, not join them! bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness! you were my brother, anakin. i loved you.”
- “i have failed you, anakin. i have failed you.”
- “where is padmé? is she safe? is she alright?” “it seems in your anger... you killed her.”
- “he knows. he wants to help you. anakin, all i want is your love.”
- “i don't know you anymore. anakin, you're breaking my heart. you're going down a path i can't follow.”
STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE (MOVIE)
- “general kenobi. years ago you served my father in the clone wars. now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the empire. i regret that i am unable to present my father's request to you in person, but my ship has fallen under attack, and i'm afraid my mission to bring you to alderaan has failed. i have placed information vital to the survival of the rebellion into the memory systems of this r2 unit. my father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on alderaan. this is our most desperate hour. help me, obi-wan kenobi. you're my only hope.”
- “a young jedi named darth vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the empire hunt down and destroy the jedi knights. he betrayed and murdered your father.”
STAR WARS: JEDI FALLEN ORDER (GAME)
- “this is master obi-wan kenobi. i regret to report that both our jedi order and the republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the empire rising to take their place. this message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving jedi: trust in the force. do not return to the temple. that time has passed, and our future is uncertain. avoid coruscant. avoid detection. be secret... but be strong. We will each be challenged: our trust, our faith, our friendships. but we must persevere and, in time, i believe a new hope will emerge. may the force be with you always.”
STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH (NOVELIZATION)
- “get out of here, anakin. there’s nothing you can do.” “i’m not leaving you, master.”
- “i’m going for obi-wan!” “no need.” anakin whirled to find obi-wan right behind him in the act of slicing neatly through the braincase of a battle droid. “i appreciate the thought, anakin,” the jedi master said with a gentle smile. “but i’ve already come for you.”
- “leave him, anakin. there is no time.” palpatine was half hanging from the banister, both arms wrapped around a stanchion. “this whole spire may be about to break free-” “then we'll all be adrift together.” anakin glanced up at the supreme chancellor and for that instant he didn't like the man at all, but then he reminded himself that brave as palpatine was, his was the courage of conviction; the man was no soldier. he had no way of truly comprehending what he was asking anakin to do. “his fate,” he said in case palpatine had not understood, “will be the same as ours.”
- anakin bowed his head. the panic and fear whirled inside him, and he was ashamed. obi-wan bent closer to speak softly. he did not release his grip on anakin's shoulders. “but i will help you. i will always help you. i will not leave you.” the words reverberated like a bell. obi-wan's touch brought anakin back to himself. he raised his head. “things between us have not run smooth lately,” obi-wan said. “but you must never doubt my commitment to you.” “and mine to you,” anakin said. the breeze rose and stirred their robes. it smelled fresh and clean. it was morning, and they had things to accomplish, a journey to make.
- “all things die, anakin skywalker. even stars burn out.”
- “anakin.” obi-wan’s voice had gone soft, and his hand was warm on anakin’s arm. “there is no other jedi i would rather have at my side right now. no other man.”
- of course anakin knew r2-d2; he had known him for years, the little droid was a decorated war hero himself, having saved padmé’s life back when she had been queen of naboo…
- this was not sith against jedi. this was not light against dark or good against evil; it had nothing to do with duty or philosophy, religion or morals. it was anakin against obi-wan. personally. just the two of them, and the damage they had done to each other.
- kenobi was luminous, a transparent being, a window onto a sunlit meadow of the force. skywalker was a storm cloud, flickering with dangerous lightning, building the rotation that threatens a tornado.
- obi-wan, staring, wished he had the strength to rip his eyes out from his head. but even blind, he would see this forever. he would see his friend, his student, his brother, turn and kneel in front of a black-cloaked lord of the sith.
- obi-wan is modest and centred, and always kind. he is the ultimate jedi. and he is proud to be anakin skywalkers best friend.
- “there is one jedi— one whom i truly know all of us can trust absolutely...”
- the greatness of all these jedi is unquestioned, but it pales next to the legend that has grown around kenobi and skywalker.
- obi-wan began to run because he realized, if he was fast enough, there was one thing he still could do for anakin. he still could do honor to the memory of the man he had loved, and to the vanished order they both had served.
- now she holds him in their infinite kiss with both arms tight around his neck, because there is a cold dread in the center of her heart that whispers this kiss is not infinite at all, that it's only a pause in the headlong rush of the universe.
- the man he faced was everything obi-wan had devoted his life to destroying. murderer. traitor. fallen jedi. lord of the sith. and here, now, despite it all… obi-wan still loved him.
- the only answer obi-wan had was a helpless shake of his head. padmé reached across with her free hand, with the hand she had laid upon the brow of her firstborn son, and pressed something into obi-wan's palm. for a moment, her eyes cleared, and she knew him. “obi-wan... there... is still good in him. i know there is... still...” her voice faded to an empty sigh, and she sagged back against the pillow. half a dozen different scanners buzzed with conflicting alarm tones, and the medical droids shooed him from the room. he stood in the hall outside, looking down at what she had pressed into his hand. it was a pendant of some kind, an amulet, unfamiliar sigils carved into some sort of organic material, strung on a loop of leather. in the force, he could feel traces of the touch of her skin. when yoda and bail came for him, he was still standing there, staring at it. “she put this in my hand--” for what seemed the dozenth time this day, he found himself blinking back tears. “-- and i don't even know what it is.” “precious to her, it must have been,” yoda said slowly. “buried with her, perhaps it should be.” obi-wan looked down at the simple, child-like symbols carved into it, and felt from it in the force soaring echoes of transcendente love, and the bleak, black despair of unendurable heartbreak. “yes,” he said. “yes. perhaps that would be best.”
THE MANDALORIAN (SERIES)
- “moff gideon, you have something i want. you may think you have some idea what you are in possession of, but you do not. in a few moments, it will be mine. it means more to me than you will ever know.”
- “i cannot train him. his attachment to you makes him vulnerable to his fears. his anger. i've seen what such feelings can do to a fully trained jedi knight. to the best of us. i will not start that child down that path.”
- “i don't know. seems to me like your rules start to change when you get desperate. everybody's got their lines they don't cross until things get messy.”
- “come, little one.”

STAR WARS: THE RISE & FALL OF DARTH VADER (BOOK)

STAR WARS: LABYRINTH OF EVIL (BOOK)
- “i never claimed to be the chosen one. that was qui-gon. even the council doesn't believe it anymore, so why should you?” “because i think you believe it,” obi-wan said calmly. “i think you know in your heart that you're meant for something extraordinary.” “and you, master. what does your heart tell you you're meant for?” “infinite sadness,” obi-wan said, even while smiling.
THE MANDALORIAN JUNIOR NOVEL (NOVELIZATION)
- the razor crest was home. where others might look at the gunship and see a simple means of transportation or escape, the mandalorian knew the crest as his haven, almost an extension of the armor and helmet that protected him. programming the navicomputer with the coordinates provided by the client, he felt the familiar rumble of thrusters taking hold, deepening throught the gunship's frame as it broke away from the spaceport, tilted slightly on it axis, and flumg itself into space.

- “ahsoka tano, allow me to commend you on your efforts today. you've been quite a worthy opponent. i regret we haven't met face to face, and perhaps now we never shall. still, i know you because i knew your master. i concluded your strategies would be similar. one wonders just how similar you might become. perhaps this is where a ronin such as you belongs.”
- “over the years, i've made my share of difficult choices. often, no one understood my reasons. except my master.” “anakin?” “he always stood by me. even when no one else did. that's why no matter what happens next, i'm going to be there for you.”

- “when i was a bit older than you are now, i watched everything i knew burn.” “the jedi temple?” “i couldn't make sense of it at the time. as you get older, look at history, you realize it's all inevitable. the fall of the jedi, rise of the empire. it repeats again and again and again.”
- “incorrect. you lack conviction.”
- “hello, snips. i didn't expect to see you so soon.”
- “ahsoka, within you will be everything i am. all the knowledge i possess. just as i inherited knowledge from my master and he from his. you're part of a legacy.” “but my part of that legacy is one of death and war.” “but you're more than that, because i'm more than that.” “you are more, anakin. but more powerful and dangerous than anyone realized.”
- “your legacy, like your master's, is one of death and destruction.”
- “anakin spoke highly of you.” “interesting. he never mentioned you.” “everyone in the order knew anakin skywalker. few would live to see what he became. surely that must leave a mark. is that why you walked away? abandoned him?” “i'm not here to discuss my past.”
