"Hell, I'll kill a man in a fair fight... or if I think he's gonna start a fair fight, or if he bothers me, or if there's a woman, or if I'm gettin' paid - mostly only when I'm gettin' paid." - Jayne, Firefly

"I am like a being thrown from another planet on this dark terrestrial ball, an alien, a pilgrim among its possessors." - Thomas Carlyle

travel (current daydreams)
  • If you were a month, you'd be January.
  • If you were a god(dess), you'd be Vulcan.
  • If you were a bird, you'd be a kea.
  • If you were a day of the week, you'd be Wednesday.
  • If you were a time of day, you'd be 8 or 9AM.
  • If you were a planet, you'd be Mercury.
  • If you were an animal, you'd be a binturong.
  • If you were a direction, you'd be up.
  • If you were a piece of furniture, you'd be a couchbed. There are no mischievous Freudian undertones here, it's just a statement of fact.
  • If you were a liquid, you'd be water or red wine.
  • If you were a gemstone, you'd be peridot.
  • If you were a tree, you'd be an aloe, not even a tree. You just wouldn't be a tree. Even if reincarnation were the case, your soul would reject the form of a tree and nest in the seedling of some small aloe close to the ground, keeping a low profile.
  • If you were a tool, you'd be some garden snippers.
  • If you were a flower, you'd be jasmine blossoms.
  • If you were a kind of weather, you'd be the constant, chronic hazy rain of Washington.
  • If you were a musical instrument, you'd be a clarinet.
  • If you were a color, you'd be gray green.
  • If you were an emotion, you'd be deadpan humor.
  • If you were a fruit, you'd be lime.
  • If you were a sound, you'd be the scuffling of shoes in the quiet distance when all else appears to be asleep.
  • If you were an element, you'd be earth, quiet and stable, a conduit for growth (even though you can be fluttery and nervous--that's just the dead leaves blowing overtop of you, and perhaps sometimes the earth stays so well put because it's nervous, afraid to go anywhere...and then the rivers and floods come washing it down the banks and into canyons, mudslides giving way to valleys and changing the contents of the soil--but it would take a mudslide to move you, it would take a lot of rain to change your mind or heart about anything).
  • If you were a car, you'd be...you wouldn't be a car. No, you'd walk.
  • If you were a food, you'd be celery sticks.
  • If you were a material, you'd be a stiff cotton-polyester blend commonly found in suitjackets and those button down shirts from walmart.
  • If you were a taste, you'd be acidic, astringent, but otherwise plain.
  • If you were a scent, you'd be the smell of deoderant.
  • If you were an object, you'd be a scicle. Maybe a hammer, too. Why are all my friends weapons? I don't know.
  • If you were a body part, you'd be the hip bones.
  • If you were a facial expression, you'd be stoicism.
  • If you were a song, you'd be "Baby One More Time" as sung by Train, right? No? Well, I don't know then.
  • If you were a place, you'd be a green mountainous pastoral valley as found in the Basque province of France and certain parts of Iceland, or like ancient Mesopotamia, for example.
