  — While we should always protect our 'ear gates', I do not think it is sinful to listen to secular music. I personally believe that a person should be convicted by the Holy Spirit into turning away from secular music as a whole for it to be a sin. This list is open to all, whether you are looking to align your music choices with your faith or exploring other genres in general. ♡

“Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first important: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures , and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.”

    • "If you hold firmly to the word I preached to you."
    • What is the word? The gospel. True salvation involves a heartfelt trust in His sacrifice and resurrection, not just the words or prayers spoken. It comes from believing with all your mind, heart and soul that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and God raised Him up on the third day.

   — Psalm 91:1-16

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your...

   — One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say:

    • Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Luke 11:1-4)

I renounce all selfishness, self-will, self-pity, self-rejection, self-hatred, self-promotion in the name of Jesus. — As a Christian, when you first read about the Unforgivable Sin, or Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, it's enough to make your stomach turn.. But what IS it exactly? And how can we know if we've committed such a thing?

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

    • Matthew: 31-32
      • ↪ And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

   — Facing difficult times is a part of life, but it's important to understand that these challenges do not come from God. God is not the source of evil, suffering, or death; rather, evil entered the world through sin. While God doesn't cause these hardships, He can offer comfort, strength, and hope in the midst of them:

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

  • The Lord cares for us
    • 1 Peter 5:7
      • ↪ Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. ⤦
    • 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
    • ↪ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
