• 1. Addressing God
      • ↪ Acknowledge God before saying anything, and know you are in his presence. Call him whatever you're comfortable with, or try looking for something new here.
  • 2. Thanking God
      • ↪ Thank Him for all that he has done for you, for your friends and family. Thank him for allowing you to see another day, or ending the day safe and sound. Thank Him for who he is.
  • 3. Have a conversation with God
      • ↪ The key to any good relationship is communication and time together. Repent and pour your heart out to the Lord. Anything and everything that you may be struggling with (sins too), upset, hurt, frustrated or worried about. You may intercede for others as well.
  • 4. Have faith in your prayers
      • ↪ Trust that God WILL hear and answer your prayers.
  • 5. Close your prayer in Jesus' name
      • (John 14:13-14): And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
  • 6. Closing prayer with Amen
      • ↪ The Greek Old Testament usually translates amen to "so be it." Saying this at the end of a prayer is like putting a seal on everything you have just prayed about.
