So many warnings, so little time. Most of this fic is gratuitous writing, whatever struck my fancy when the story was germinating in my poor very British brain

For the dub-con: ----------------

Julia is holding Cora's life over Derek's head to coerce him into marrying her. She's using a magic spell to control him the rest of the time. It is implied that Derek is not having sex with her.

The only loophole in her control he can find is having sex with Stiles. There is no verbal consent in their encounters. Derek would consent to it if he could, he's just spelled that he can't. Stiles would consent but he's an idiot who doesn't say it out loud.

If this will cause you problems, either find someone to read it through for you first, or just click away. It's a fic written for fun, not to cause anyone any negative reactions.

For the deaths --------------

I tried to keep Scott alive, but it didn't gel into the storyline -- this fic is a romp of sorts, and I didn't believe Stiles staying away for six years if Scott was around. Sorry, Scott. I love you and it was a very hard decision, but when I found myself at 3am in a daze trying to reconcile you in amongst solving the mystery, it didn't work.

The "Stiles leaves Beacon Hills" trope for me does not easily work with Sheriff Stilinski alive, so in this timeline, he was one of the first 12 murders the Darach chose to undertake.

In this universe, the Alpha pack didn't come to Beacon Hills, and the Darach took her time over Stiles' Junior and Senior years to kill the healers, virgins, warriors and protectors.

Several things branch off from this - Cora was never taken by the alpha pack, and she brought Erica and Boyd home with her. While Erica was missing, the Reyes fostered Stiles (as a "replacement" for their daughter), but when Erica came back, they realized Erica was still unstable and Stiles was feeling replaced, so they went to the trouble of formally adopting him, even though in under a year he would be 18 and there was no real point.

Anyway. That's too much text. There's exposition in the fic that covers most of this.

The take home thing is: Sheriff and Scott are dead. Dead, dead, dead, Basically fridged for Stiles' manpain. THIS IS GRATUITOUS FIC OKAY.

Julia's portrayal -----------------

Julia is ragingly irredeemably evil in this fic, and is not portrayed sympathetically. While she's alive at the end, she's being carted off by the Alpha pack. Please assume she is being pulled away to be rehabilitated, and to make daisy chains and run around shoeless with Kali in the woods if you so wish.

The six year gap ----------------

No matter how many times you tell yourself you'll keep your childhood/college friends, and hang out with them regularly, sometimes six years passes and it feels perfectly reasonable at the time that work, etc. got in the way.
