- i sometimes talk about being indigenous as being 'my culture', because i've been through and spoken to a lot of different people (including mob leaders) about where i stand as white in the community (ive lived in central australia amongst the Pitjantjatjara people and have gotten confirmation that no matter how 'white' i am that i still count as part of the mobs)
- i'm aware of my privileges and how i've never experienced the racism or oppression that comes from being indigenous, and would never openly claim such a thing.
- i spent years looking into this side of my background however and it's really comforting to know where i can now stand with it!
