A: Its a membership organized by Pledis, basically, we pay membership fee to be 'Official Carats' and get various benefits. The 1st gen was last year, and this year is the 2nd gen. Each membership only valid for one year.

Q: How much do i have to pay to join Official Fanclub - Carat 2nd Generation Recruitment?

A: 20.000 KRW (17.87 USD), exclude shipping fee (various for each country)

Q: How do I pay for the membership fee? Can I pay with Paypal? Can I pay via bank transfer?

A: The method of payment for overseas purchase are only: JCB, VISA, Master Card, Unionpay

Q: Can i use Visa debit card?

A: Im not sure because some people did with debit card, but some people said they cannot. So i think you need to check if the bank/card allow overseas purchase

Q: How do I register as a 2nd generation Carats?

A: -Make a daum cafe acc (tutorial by Pledis17 tumblr: http://pledis17.com/post/120925457128/do-you-have-a-tutorial-on-how-to-make-an-account …) *But dont follow the no 7 in the tutorial, its not their official fancafe, the official fancafe is in the link on no 2 down here

Q: I tried typing my address like No.__/__, #, ETC as for unit and street number but Melon ticket say I can't insert symbols. What should I do?

A: they dont allow symbol, so you have to type in your address in other way, to replace the /, # and other symbols into words

Q: Is the name for the membership needs to be like the passport?

A: Yes, but it doesn't have to be your full name.. But if you want to be sure, and your full name is not that long, do it :)

Q: How do i know if i've successfully registered as 2nd Generation Carats in Melon Ticket?

A: You will get directed to "Your Payment Has Been Successfully Processed" page, and you can check 'My Ticket' page for the status

Q: I clicked on 'get tickets' but nothings happening?

A: Melon ticket only support PC browser, but if youre using your mobile try to change the mobile browser setting to allow popups and do it again

Q: I already join Carat 1st generation last year. Do I have to apply again for the 2nd generation or is the membership got extended automatically?

A: You have to apply again as 2nd generation Carat. Membership only valid for one year.

Q: If i pay for the membership now, do i have to pay it monthly or is it a lifetime membership?

A: This year is the 2nd generation Carat recruitment, its a yearly membership and the membership period is from 1 May 2017 - 30 April 2018. So next year, you have to register again as 3nd generation Carat, and so on

Q: What do I get from being an official 2nd generation Carat?

A: Official Carat membership benefits:

-Carat membership card

-Carat 2nd term Official items (Carat kit)

-Pre-reservations to official concerts and fan meetings of SEVENTEEN (depends to sponsors terms)

A: Nope, theres no members limitation for fanclub registration, but you have to register during the registration period (24 Mar 2017 - 14 April 2017)

Q: Do I have to use my real legal name when I register in Melon ticket & Daum?

A: Yes you have to

Q: My name is Ariel Brianna Candy (example), it’s my legal name as recorded in my passport and ID card. But Melon ticket only have two name columns in registration, what should i do? (NOTE: This is before Melon allow spacing, now they allow spacing so you can proceed to the next Q & A, you dont have to think about the spacing, first middle last name thing)

A: DO:

-Ideal scenario: Put your first and last name (Ariel in the first column, Candy in the second column)

-Other scenario: Put your first and second name (Ariel in the first column, Brianna in the second column)

p.s: Although they said FIRST & LAST name, I said FIRST & SECOND name are fine too as a 2nd scenario because it is still your legal name, and for some cases, people with long names only have their first & middle names in passport (and last name as additional name), so scenario no 1 & 2 should be fine, as long as its your legal name as stated in your passport / ID card.

DONT:

Write your name without space to force it in the column (example: ArielBrianna in the first column & Candy in the second column OR Ariel in the first column & BriannaCandy in the second column) WHY? Because Melon Ticket specifically only ask for FIRST & LAST name (two names), and they don’t allow space, which means they don’t need you to force your full name into those columns. Pledis also said: “You must correct the spacing of your English name with accuracy” which means, enter it with the right space, don’t stick your two names into one name like ArielBrianna

A: Yes its fine. It cant be helped bcs Melon ticket only allow two names, so it should be okay! :)

A: You need to enter your full name as stated in your passport / ID card later after the registration open in 24 March, under the delivery page

Q: I created my account when Melon ticket havent fixed the spacing issue yet. I checked if I can edit it now that they already fix the issue but looks like I cant! Is it going to affect my Daum registration or my 2nd Gen Rec application at some sort?

A: Yes i checked and they suddenly allows spacing in the name column.. I still think its okay even if we dont put in our full name, as long as its our legal name. But if you want to be sure, you can make a melon ticket acc again with your full name!

Q: I don’t have a passport, can I still join official Carat?

A: Yes you can! Pledis did say “For domestic/overseas purchasers, your name must be entered as recorded on a valid Passport”, its to crosscheck our identity if we go to Korea & try to use the membership to get special advantages (Pre-reservations to official concerts and fan meetings of SEVENTEEN, Preferential advantage to participate in open broadcasting and events, etc) But if you dont have a passport right now just make it with your real legal name.

Q: I didnt use my real name previously when i signed up at daum and/or melon ticket, is it possible to change it now? or must i create a new acc?

A: For melon ticket: We cant edit our name For daum: they require Korea phone number & ipin to change it, which we dont have So you hv to make a new one for daum and/or melon ticket

Q: After i register in Melon Ticket, in My Account tab, my name got switched, it become (last name) (first name). Is it okay?

A: Yes mine is like that too.. its melon ticket format, i dont think it'll cause a problem or something

Q: Does the shipping address have to be the same as what’s recorded in my identity card? Can I send it to my dorm / apartment / friend house instead of my house?

A: The shipping address doesnt have to be the same with the address in your identity card. You can send it to other address

Q: Do I have to level up on fancafe to join Carat 2nd generation?

A: No you don’t have to. In fact, after you register as Carat, Pledis will give us a level up (to the highest level possible in fancafe). They will post a notice on how to do that later.

Q: Is the nickname and ID in Seventeen fancafe also have to be our real name?

A: You have to use your real name only when you register in Melon Ticket & Daum. But for fancafe nickname and daum ID, its okay to use other stuff (example: ID: arielnim, nickname: hellohoshi)

Q: What is the difference between name, ID, and nickname in Daum?

A: Name = your real legal name that you use when you register in Daum; ID = your Daum ID (like twitter acc, instagram acc); Nickname = The nickname you use in fancafe

Q: I’ve registered for the melon ticket but why no address and phone number to fill?

A: We'll enter the shipping address and other info after the registration open on March 24th in Melon Ticket. Its one of the step when we register later

Q: Can i use the melon ticket global one but put Korea address?

A: Yes!

Q: I forgot to sign up at daum with my real name, I use a nickname. Can u please tell me how to edit my name?

A: When you sign up you have to use your real name & you cant change it afterwards. You have to make a new daum account

Q: Do I need to make melon music acc for this 2nd ten registration? Or just Melon ticket?

A: Nope you dont have to make a melon music acc. Melon music have nothing to do with fanclub registration.

Q: How much mostly is the shipping fee? Does it depends on the country?

A: Yes its depends on the country so i cant rly tell you. When we register later and put our address, Melon ticket will calculate the shipping address.

Q: Do I need to make another daum account even though I have it already last year?

A: Nope you dont have to, you can use your existing acc :)

Q: Do I have to use the same name for Melon ticket and Daum fancafe?

A: Yes, to make the verification easier

Q: Regarding the fanclub registration, when they ask for our 'Fancafe ID' is it our daum id or fancafe nickname?

A: fancafe ID = daum ID :)

Q: I can't actually remember the name that I put when I made my daum account. I want to check if I used my real name or a nickname. Where can I see it?

A: -Go to http://top.cafe.daum.net/ and login

-Click 내정보 in the right section

-Click the link under profile picture in the right section

-Check your name next to 이름

Q: So its okay if the daum ID not our real name right? Pledis just need it so we can access the carat zone?

A: Thats right :)

Q: When we sign up for the daum acc, where is the part we have to put our real name? Is 이름 for our real name?

A: yes 이름 = real name, 닉네임 - nickname, 아이디 = daum ID

Q: I use different emails for Daum registration and Melon ticket registration. Is it okay?

A: Yes its fine. Only the name have to be the same, your real legal name

Q: I can't seem to find the "fill in your birthdate" option when I signed up for a daum account. Do you know where it is and is it important?

A: We'll enter our birthday in melon ticket when the registration is open, its part of the registration process & it is important to differentiate people with the same name
