- luffy and nami encountered each other in the freaking first episode. if that's not fate i don't know what is.
- when they actually worked together, nami was asked to light up the buggy bomb to kill luffy, but she couldn't even do it. she blew her cover to save his life even tho he was a pirate and she DESPISED pirates.
- when buggy stabs luffy’s hat (aka his treasure ), he asks nami to fix it
- when zoro, luffy, and nami would sit together, nami would sit in front of luffy rather than zoro (playing footsies??? perhaps... (lmao jk))
- after defeating captain kuro, nami ran up to luffy and instead of falling straight to the ground, luffy falls RIGHT INTO NAMI'S ARMS AND THEN SHE HOLDS HIM AND SAYS "THANK YOU FOR THE HARD WORK." lol bye
- nami is the /only/ one (besides shanks ofc) that has ever worn luffy's straw hat aka his treasure aka his life. AND he's the one who puts it on her head every time.
- the first and MOST important time was when nami asked for luffy's help to deal with arlong and he just places it on her head AND EVEN SHE WAS SURPRISED. LIKE THIS JUST SHOWS HOW MUCH HE TRULY TRUSTS AND CARES FOR HER.
- and during the fight with arlong luffy completely DESTROYS nami's map room, because he knows how much pain she's suffered in that room and why the hell would he let nami be reminded of such tragic times???
- AND WHEN HE DID THIS, NAMI CRIES AND QUIETLY WHISPERS "THANK YOU, LUFFY" BECAUSE THIS WAS A TRUE INDICATION THAT SHE WAS /FINALLY/ GOING TO BE FREE FROM HER PAST.
- luffy screamed (yes, screamed) "nami, you are my nakama" after defeating arlong and it was /the/ loudest scream over nakama-ship in the whole series that even kaizoku-fansubs had to enlarge the subtitle text which they rarely do
- let's not forget how luffy walked away when nojiko tried to tell the straw hat pirates nami's backstory, in hopes to get them to leave the island. why??? because luffy didn't give a damn about nami's backstory. all he knew was that she was the only navigator he would ever want in his crew.
- AND FREAKING, when johnny and yosaku told the crew that nami stole their ship luffy got pissed and said she wouldn't do that, no freaking way. lbr how could he doubt his own crew member??? (even tho she didn't agree to be a crew member, he still knew she would come around)
- and even when they kept saying that nami betrayed the crew and she was really working for arlong (it was all a lie ofc), luffy didn't hesitate to reject their accusations. why??? UH BECAUSE HE HAD FAITH IN NAMI. DUH. (+luffy got mad at zoro and even threatened him for what happened in baroque works but he DEFENDED nami)
- when nami was sick pre-alabasta arc, luffy was always sitting beside her (!!alone!!) trying to make her laugh and feel better
- luffy carried nami on his back on his way and while going up the steep mountain to reach the doctor in drum village (jolyssa and i practically screamed yes we screamed)
- luffy was trying to find his jacket and nami said "just use mine's" and lbr he didn't really /need/ the jacket nor did he really need HER jacket but he took it anyways :-))) (and then he ripped it up lol)
- luffy always gets mad whenever ppl try to take his food but he ALWAYS OFFERS SOME TO NAMI ((special treatment at its best))
- when luffy was /finally/ reunited with nami in the snake's stomach, he yelled her name with tears streaming down his face
- nami runs to the edge of enel's ark when she hears luffy voice, yells out his name, and cries a lil bc she knows he's there to save her and kick enel's ass :-)))
- LUFFY THROWS NAMI HIS HAT YET AGAIN WHILE SHE'S WONDERING WHAT TO DO AND HE SAYS YOU'RE NAKAMAS WITH THE PIRATE KING DON'T MAKE SUCH A PATHETIC FACE
- ep 189, 21:47 "nami, you'd better be okay!"
- luffy held onto nami's waist as they were driving (wavering??) up the beanstalk to kick enel's ass
- !!!!! the korean drama grab !!!!!! @ 12:50, ep 239. yes luffy grabbed nami's arm and then he pulled her into him and she held onto his waist as he swung them to safety /breathes/
- instead of romantic walks, luffy takes nami on romantic swings likes spiderman ♡
- "a huge storm's approaching, we've got five minutes." / "i can't see anything, but if she says so it must be true." (ep 337) bc luffy never doubts nami :-)
- lumi fate that nami ended up boarding the ghost ship with luffy even tho she really (really) didn't want to
- (ep 378) nami never gives away her treasure but when luffy casually took one without asking, she said he could have it. this is an even bigger deal because gold is number one in her heart.
- (ep 405) before nami disappeared, her last words were "luffy, help me!" and luffy responded with the same desperate voice yelling "nami!" (these were also the exact words from the first time she asked him for help on her home island).
- (ep 410) while luffy was running away from the amazonians, he said that even nami was nicer to him than they were even tho the flashback montage proved otherwise LMAO.
- (ep 411) luffy was wondering whether or not he should steal one of boa hancock's ship, but then said "if nami isn't here, i'll get lost."
- (ep ???) nami slowly fed luffy a giant piece of meat (feeding her bae)!!!
- (ep 755) BETCH THEY HUGGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- she was finally reunited w/ the rest of the crew but she only said "luffy!" while chopper said "guys!" subtle.. we see you, nami.
- she literally jumped straight into his arms and the scene lasted a few seconds for #dramatic effect
