On November 14, 2014, I made a list of all the books I got in one library visit. 27 of them.

An assorted stack of memoirs, art biographies, poetry collections and other paperbacks that I was guided to one long evening at the campus library.

At the time, I was a Creative Writing student - faced with the task of compiling a portfolio for the end of the semester.

As a seeker of natural inspiration, I glided into the library and hand-selected 27 books, though it felt like an outer body experience.

And my then, present self was preparing my now, present self for uncovering inspiration from a deeper source.

A source that to me, at that time, then, in the campus library wasn't quite clear.

But it was something about pulling book after book down from the tall shelves packed with words enclosed in personalized covers.

I really love libraries. And this is something that my spirit knew -- subconsciously grabbing words to fuel the hunger i feel, down to my finger tips.

I'm grateful for my past unaware, yet fuzzily aware 2014 self. At 27 years old, this just might be the list of books that change my life.
