Being taken from her family was due to the fact that she was to be entrusted to be raised a noble and eventually, when she came of age, reclaim her family name and fortune.
Once her cousin Hawke abandoned Kirkwall to the current viscount, she was heavily groomed into taking her place as head of the city.
She is extremely unhappy with her situation. She hates the role thrust upon her and wishes to escape.
This fact is known to the people who raised her and she is kept under heavy guard. The excuse is that she is the rightful heir to Kirkwall. In reality, it's to keep her from running.

Very intelligent, well educated but not vain about it. Tends to over think, though. Her mind can either quickly pick up small details or throw situations out of proportion.
Stubborn. Once she has her mind set, she will do a task or keep a thought process.
Determined. She wants her freedom. She has no desire to run a city or to even be a noble. She wants to meet her family more than anything.
Secret. She knows plenty and has plenty. One of hers being that she's a true badass that trained with an Antivan Crow as a rogue assassin.
True Introvert. She'd rather go for a walk alone or read a book than go to a social function of any kind but this is discouraged constantly by her "family".

Dark Brown Hair with Red Highlights usually worn up, whether in a complicated updo or a messy bun when lounging or in everyday clothes.
Hazel eyes that are predominantly brown, always with flecks of gold, but easily change with mood and clothing.
Is required to mostly wear high fashion dresses tailored for nobility but will wear well tailored light leather armor as often as she can get away with it.

family

She is the sixth child of Revka Amell.
She has five siblings who she has never met. One of them being the Hero of Ferelden.
She was removed from her family as an infant right before her mother disappeared and the family moved from Kirkwall. She was removed and raised by distant Trevelyan cousins of the current Inquisitor.
