Amount in bank account > amount of stuff you have
money = tool for freedom
- money is NOT the fuel of an extravagant lifestyle
- money is to be used for LIFE- as in living, loving, growing
You are expected to:
- have education with great debt
- chain yourself to a job (to pay off debts)
- buy "rewards" of material nature (expensive tvs, large cars, etc)
- all the while amassing more debt
Instead:
- get an education with minimal loans (live frugally)
- get a job

Holistic learners are efficient
PRINCIPLE 1: Learn it once
- if it doesn't click at once, invest time right away to figure it out
PRINCIPLE 2: Knowing is Teaching
- if you can't explain it simply, you don't fully understand it
- this is the litmus test for Principle 1
PRINCIPLE 3: Memorization is a Last Resort
- learn concepts by analogy
  - e.g. concept of present value of money with visual perspective (linking two areas - art and accounting)
- learn facts through association
Hit the subject with high focus and ~fresh~ energy each time
