Clean:

  • Super Milk (Body Spray) by Lush (lovely, lemony, clean but comforting scent. i thought it was overwhelmingly mid when i sprayed a test strip but when i took the test strip home and left it on the nightstand, the smell was still strong and i eventually grew fond of it. stains a bit yellow though so i would spray from a far distance >_<)
  • 29 High Street by Lush (smells like walking into a Lush shop, kind of like a diffused blend of all the lush bath bombs and other products hitting u all at once. some folks say that some days u get a prominent citrus note and other days, a powdery jasmine depending on your body temp)
  • Sex Bomb (body spray) by Lush very floral jasmine; probably the most unique scent i tried irl. i expected an exact replica of the bath bomb but it's definitely not; less soapy and less refreshing, more floral notes. kind of disappointed since i prefer the bath bomb scent (i buy the bath bomb and leave it in my room to diffuse until i have to break it to "refresh" the scent). fond of this but can be a little too cloying depending on your mood and body temp. i currently live in a tropical climate so i don't like to spray too much)
  • Sailing Day by Maison Margiela) (the scent with the strongest aldehyde notes i own. refreshing and very androgynous. the exact opposite of "warm and cosy"; the kind of scent that makes u want to dress sharp before using it. but i once read somebody say that the scent reminds them of fboy deodorant and its changed my perception of this perfume dramatically in the worst way possible >:( scent truly IS subjective...)
  • Blanche by Byredo (mixed feelings - projection is not great, longevity is questionable and the smell is similar to generic bar soap. I like the smell of generic bar soap though. Expensive and deeply polarising scent! Absolutely do not blind-buy; its price point is above the standard designer perfume bracket and i believe the brand was meant to target a more niche, posh crowd. a somewhat "viral" product but personally not worth the price for what it delivers)

Calming:

  • By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela (Loved it! Super cosy, spicy scent with a hint of sweet notes. I prefer this over YSL's Black Opium. My favourite perfume so I hate that I didn't snag it >:( What was I thinking...) EDIT (2026): JUST BOUGHT IT

Sweet:

  • Angel by Mugler (took so many test strips and samples from selfridges home one time and alongside the "By the Fireplace" perfume, this was the only other sample I rly liked. a classic 90s perfume that seems to have withstood the test of time. EDIT (2026): abt 2 yrs later, i sprayed a test strip in Boots recently, waved it around to settle it and the opening was very SHARP, chemically and not at all like what i smelled in selfridges. idk what happened there...)

Unique:

  • Lavande by Kaloo (look at how cute Kaloo's packaging is!! Bad news: it's for babies...but it's cute and lavender scented!)
  • Noa by Cacharel (check out the reviews on this one lol)
