My name is Emilia, I am 19 and live in Poland. I have lots of interests: Celtic and Scandinavian culture, human brain, names, their etymology, popularity, all about them, folklore, psychology, medicine, languages and linguistics, horses and riding and cats. I have a 9 month old Russian blue cat called Misha and he's my best friend. I'm an introvert and I like it. I enjoy listening to music (mainly...

Names (Name Crushes in 2024)
  • Comparing people with others and
  • Common pursuit of mediocrity.
  • Hollow, not intelligent people.
  • Sloppy writing.
  • Pity disabled people too much, as I am disabled, it peeves me quite a lot.
  • Not accessible websites, places etc. for disabled.
  • When I say something and after each my sentence someone says "Me too".
  • Insincere compliments.
  • Long lasting noises.
  • When someone scratches a styrofoam or a wall with a nailfinger or creaks with fiddlestick or halk on the blackboard.
  • My sister Zofijka. I love her, but she's extremely annoying.
  • When I write to someone with a very urgent matter and he/she doesn't write back.
  • When someone has very, very Polish accent in English.
  • WHen people says that they are believers, but non-practicing. Doesn't believing manifest in practicing?
  • When someone criticise a baby name chosen by parents, though it's just parents' case. I think it's good to express opinions on baby names, but if someone criticises a name of living baby it's just rude imo.
  • When people talk about me when I'm with them like if I wasn't or think that if I'm visually impaired, I'm an idiot and ask my Mum e.g. at the doctor "What ails her". It's especially annoying when people ask my Mum or other person who's with me about such things this person just doesn't know about me. It's ridiculous but pretty annoying.
  • Disco polo music (Polish disco). Ughhh! I generally don't like disco, but I find Polish disco compromiting for our nation, really. And so many people listen to that trash. Poor people! They don't know what a good music is. :'(
  • French Language. I'm absolutely not biased to French people or France, but I can't do anything with the fact that I just don't like French language, generally I'm not a fan of romanesque languages, but foods in Mediterranean countries were always my favourite.
  • Noisy people.
  • The sound of saxophone.
  • WHen I must go to hairdresser I always do it in the last minute.
  • Shopping, unless grocery shopping or in a jewelry store where I buy new stones to my collection. But even this shopping I prefer to do online if I do it on my own.
  • Parties. ven if it strange. Yeah, I know I'm crazy, weird and a loner. :D
  • When I have a migraine, it's quite obvious I think.
  • Opera. I very respect people who like opera music, they are so open-minded, but really, I tried and can't like it even a bit.
  • Ads in TV or radio during an interesting film, play or programme. I don't know how it is in other countries, but here in Poland we have ads pretty frequently and they're scarily stupit.
  • Wasps. To be honest I'm afraid of them actually.
  • When Misha, my cat, goes on my laptop keyboard and turns of or mutes my screenreader while my laptop is turned on and I'm outside of the room for a while and when I come back I don't know what's going on on the scrreen. :D
  • When Polish people name their babies with English names written with Polish phonetics. But I NEVER criticise them! It's rude and besides I'm just too shy or socially awkward to do something like this. And it's parents' decision, not mine or anyone else.
  • When someone claims, that colours aren't important to me due to my disability.
  • When someone sees me all in black and ask did someone die in my family. :D
  • When someone tries to force me to confide.
  • When someone absolutely can't listen to other people.
  • Too talkative people. Actually I like to talk with and to listen to people who are talkative and have something interesting to say, but I can't stand talking just for talking.
  • People who want to be liked by all, I think it's impossible and such people are inevitably two-faced.
  • when someone forces children to eat. I was often forced in boarding school so maybe that's why I'm so attentive to it now when someone does it to other children. As my Mum says child can't die of hunger if he/she doesn't want to eat, unles it's ill.
