I digest media critically: I find that it is imperative to view controversial novels / films through an objective lens. For example, serious literature such as Lolita are written to disturb and promote commentary, not to be eroticized.

In the case of being objective - I also believe fiction doesn't affect reality unless you are ignorant, mentally ill, are of youth, etc. And no, I do not subscribe to proship/antiship ideology. Neither allow a space for nuance.
