- Le Marais - the coolest neighborhood in the world
- Rue de Bretagne - so fun to walk down, sit in a cafe, shop at the cheese, wine, etc, shops.. such a fun street
- Le Marché des Enfants Rouges - amazing outdoor/covered market on Bretagne
- Père Lachaise Cemetery
- St. Merri Cathedral - Next to the Pompidou - has free music on saturday nights and sunday afternoons. we unfortunately saw a solo oboist. cool experience, but painful music to sit through. maybe sit by the back so you can easily escape if the music sucks. FREE!
Museums
- Musée D'anatomie Delmas-Orfila-Rouvière - anatomical museum
- Orsay Museum - Obvious choice, everyone recommended. Nice to go on Thursday night when it's open late, no lines!
- Sainte-Chapelle - Centre des monuments nationaux - Dinah - amazing stained glass
- Rodin Museum
- Pompidou - Obviously, everyone recommended it and it was great. Mom went twice!
- Musée Nissim de Camondo - old Jewish family mansion, Dinah’s rec
- Versailles - amazing place, dumbest experience ever... although we outsmarted it by taking a tour of the kings chambers and opera house right off the bat, skipped all the lines!
Restaurants
- Derrier - Super fun spot.
- La Cidrerie du Marais
- La Terrasse des Archives - super easy and delicious place. we ate here three times!
- Les Bascou - Le Marais - VERY French , in many ways
Still To Do:
- Chateau de Fontainebleau - go here instead of stupid Versailles
- Paris flower market gets taken over by an avian market on Sundays... what?
- Etched Mirror Salons of Laperouse restaurant
- Restaurant le Jules Verne - Restaurant in the Eiffel Tower
- Robert & Louise - was booked every time we tried - must be amazing :)
- Musée Edith Piaf - what it sounds like. Free and open by appointment.
- Le Clown Bar
- Le Lavomatic - laundromat speakeasy - 30 rue René, Boulanger, 10e - La Maraise
- Les Puces de Saint-Ouen - Flea Market day trip, take the train, but quite a trek (Dinah’s reco) - Only open on Sat, Sun, Mon!!
