I've liked this name for a while. I've had it sitting on my baby name lists since 2020, but only after marrying my husband, did I realise it was going to be my first son's name. I didn't LOVE it for a long time, but my fiance, Tom, said it had been his childhood dream to name his son Dante. Finally, months later, I'm warming up to it, and I've decided it's what I want too :) I think of the colour orange, some little curly haired boy climbing up apple trees, picking them off and finishing them clean. I imagine he'll be like Tom, a lover of horses & dogs, and always wanting to explore.
I've never stopped dreaming about this name since 2018/2019. I have a lot of Isidora's in my extended family, and I've always liked it. But when I heard the name Isadora from A Series of Unfortunate Events, I have never thought of anything else. It's absolutely everything to me. It's feminine but not frilly. It just balances so perfectly in my head. I think of her being tomboyish, but loving all shades of pinks. She loves art, always wearing paint splattered overalls. CHERRIES! Why do cherries always remind me of the name? It's so beautiful!
