«Lee Minho x Han Jisung»

i keep saying ‘maybe’ but i definitely have a problem

“You look heterosexual,” Seungmin comments.

Jisung gapes at him, affronted. “That’s the meanest shit you’ve ever said to me."

Seungmin shrugs, clearly pleased with himself in his appraisal of Jisung’s appearance. “Might be a good thing,” he drawls, rolling his shoulders back. "You know how Minho is, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him not pick up a straight guy. He seems to have a penchant for them.”

Jisung has to agree. He’s seen - more times than he’d like - Minho making his way up a frat house staircase with a guy in tow; normally obnoxiously masculine and bro-ey, typically wearing a snapback and boat shoes. It never fails to make him feel queasy with jealousy.

(Or: Jisung attempts to act like a heterosexual to get with the notorious, only-hooks-up-with-straight-guys, Lee Minho)

He wanted to keep all of this forever: the warmth under the fabric roof of the pillow fort; the patter of the rain against the window panes; the drowned out sound of a Park Hyo Shin song murmuring from Jisung’s phone underneath the ruffled pile of blankets; the purple glow of the children’s fairy lights that managed to turn all of their physical vices into virtues. It would all be torn down in a few hours, this little world they’d made for themselves, and the universe would soon forget it, so for now they kissed, and their hands etched essays of endearment where they roamed, and they whispered each other’s names against swollen lips.

They’d make the universe wait to take this away.

Panic set in when Minho saw it. Photos of him. Photos that he was so sure he had deleted long ago. Photos of him no one should have seen. Photos of him - and his ex-boyfriend. Kissing. Cuddling. Sleeping together. Nothing too intimate but still enough for everyone to know what was going on. Someone had gotten ahold of these photos and had outed him. Publicly, for all the world to see.

-----

When leaked photos of Minho out him against his will it puts not only Stray Kids at risk but also the bond the members had formed with each other.

Minho, Lee Minho, a dance major, he’s usually dressed in baggy sweaters and equally baggy sweatpants, his pretty tan skin almost alway hidden. Normally he has thick dark hair covered in a beanie or tied back with a bandana. But now his hair is a sky grey, small kitten ears that match on top of his head.

Tonight his body is dressed in pinks and whites, a little white mini skirt on his bottom half and a pale pink crop top barely covering the rest of him.

What the fuck.

Jisung was convinced he really didn't like Minho, but a term paper, an engagement party, a night out, and a whole semester together might just prove him otherwise.

There’s a basketball court three blocks away from the apartment complex Jisung lives in, and he’s been spending all of his Sundays there since elementary school. Everyone on the block knows about him and he takes his reputation seriously. On one of those weekend days, he finds someone there he has never seen before. Although they start as friends, they turn out to be on rival teams.

It's supposed to be a one-time thing.

Against Jisung's better judgment, it happens again, and again, and again.

(or: they fuck to feel a little less lonely. somewhere along the way, they fall in love.)

Jisung is busy, and he's content being busy. He doesn't have time to mess around. It's his senior year of college, he's glad to be making money where he can, producing music in his free time, and performing in the subway station near campus three times a week. But when flirty stranger drops his number in the tip jar, he can't help but be intrigued. And when what he swears to keep casual starts to feel like anything but, Jisung realizes maybe he can make time, especially for those important.

Han Jisung is an introverted linguistics major, just trying to survive his college life without interference from his incredibly extroverted roommate, Lee Felix. He is pretty good at persuasion, though, and one night Jisung decides to take a break from studying to party with Felix and his close group of friends. While there, he meets Lee Minho, a force to be reckoned with while drunk. The two are clearly attracted to each other and one thing leads to another, and Han Jisung wakes up next to a marriage certificate.

TLDR: Jisung and Minho, mere acquaintances, get drunk and wake up married to each other.

In which Minho believes the rumours and Jisung is back at square one.

And the rest of the members see none of it until the soulmates have already crashed and burned.

Or

Jisung and Minho call each other soulmates, but Minho seems to grow more and more distand and Jisung spirals down until he's done with keeping silent.

Red means go.

Actually, it doesn't.

But for someone like Jisung, who doesn't see the point in staying around any longer, it does.

So when it turns red, he'll go.

No matter how hard Minho tried to keep him from going.

Minho loved Jisung.

So, so much.

But in the end, it had been him who had made the boy think otherwise.

And now he found himself paying the price by seeing the boy he loved so much covered in the most horrible shade of red.

Nobody likes the opening band.

But Minho does.

Well, maybe not really.

It's just that their drummer is hella cute.

And to Minho, it doesn't matter that the boy's world is usually quiter than everyone else's.

Minho is a goner for him anyways.

Jisung figured out pretty quickly that someone was following him.

It was a close call.

A really close call.

But thank God that guy and his friends were there.

Jisung is over the moon with the little kitten showing up at his place every now and then, asking to be let inside - to which Jisung happily complies - and falling asleep next to the boy.

But little does Jisung know that Minho - the guy living in the third house on his left - is losing essential sleep because his cat somehow disappears at night.

And it is on Friday the thirteenth that Minho learns who has been hoarding his cat at night, but he can't find himself to be upset about it, even though his cat is injured.

Because said cat is asleep in the arms of the cutest boy he has ever seen when he shows up at the animal clinic.

Jisung likes night time walks and Minho likes Jisung.

So if his best friend slash crush wants to go hug some trees at two in the morning, who is Minho to deny the boy?

or

Minho is completely and utterly wrapped around Jisung's little finger even if the younger doesn't know.

He doesn’t think it’s fair but if he were to say that out loud, Chan would tell him that it is part of life and that everything happens for a reason to some extent, that the universe sometimes works in strange and rather cruel ways.

Cruel indeed, because he doesn’t understand who or what thinks it is necessary for Jisung to feel like this.

Jisung has done a lot of stupid things.

Falling love with his straight best friend is the stupidest of all.

Jisung’s favourite plushie when he was five, Minho’s hand-made picture frame with their picture in it two years later, Jisung’s glasses when Minho was twelve and Jisung ten, their friendship bracelets Minho had given Jisung for his fourteenth birthday…

But amongst all the losses, they had found something more valuable than all those things combined.

Each other.

They had found each other.

Minho didn’t believe in things like love at first sight. Neither did he believe that merely seeing someone would be enough to knock the air out of his lungs and make his throat burn with the lack of moisture.

But here he was, standing frozen in place as the world around him seemed to continue without him. He could clearly hear the tambourine and the hands clapping in the same rhythm as people cheered but that was all he noticed besides the guy dancing in the middle of the square.

The sight wasn’t foreign with the oil lamps dangling from little shop to little shop surrounding the big square or the smell of ale as the sky grew dark, but at the same time, Minho felt like he had been thrown into a whole new place because even though everything was the same as every year, the guy spinning and laughing loudly as people around him cheered him on was something completely new.

--

‘’Jisung,’’ the boy replied as he finally pulled back, eyes glazed over with need and lips a few tints redder than Minho remembered, ‘’And I’m all yours,’’

‘’I’ll miss you,’’ Jisung whispers and Minho actually winces by the pure pain dripping off the words and he buries his head into the younger’s thigh even more, ‘’I love you,’’

It’s incredibly unfair for Jisung to say something like that even though it’s completely justified.

He hears Jisung let out a shaky sigh and the fingers suddenly disappear from his hair. Minho looks up and sees Jisung looking down on him with a fake smile and the older smiles back just as fabricated.

----------

Lee Minho, the third prince, gets send off to get married to someone that isn't Jisung, the second son of the general. It's a long trip, one Minho has managed to drag Jisung into, and having the younger escort him to his new home is both a blessing and a curse.

Jisung’s heart skips a beat like it does a handful of times throughout the day, every day, and he smiles as he manages to move his hand from Minho’s chest without the latter knowing. Normally Jisung would have been jealous at the older’s ability to sleep like a rock but he takes it as a blessing for now and carefully pushes a couple of loose locks away from Minho’s forehead.

God, he’s so in love.

And he’s really glad Minho isn’t awake because the older can read him like an open book and thinks it is funny to point it out even though it makes him such a hypocrite doing so.

----

Basically, Minsung waking up and being whipped.

‘’Hey Minho!,’’ one of the guys yelled, Jisung flinching at the volume and the hand creeping up his thigh, ‘’Are you going to be standing there all night or come here and accept your birthday-present?,’’

‘’W-what?,’’ Jisung squeaked out, carefully pushing the hand away from him. he heard something like a growl in his ear and he grew a bit more desperate in pushing the hand away. This was not how things were going to go down. He wanted to leave. He wasn’t doing this.

‘’Is the slut having second thoughts now?,’’ the guy on the beanbag scoffed, ‘’We already payed so shut up and make sure Minho over there has a good birthday okay?,’’

----

Or; Jisung runs a one-man, underground, prostitution business. It’s all okay until he finds himself stuck in a situation he hadn’t seen coming, especially when Minho is there, who doesn't know about Jisung's shady job.

Minho is t-shirts with 8bit art tucked into wide jeans, too many pictures of cats, weak for anything cuddly and an otherworldly sense of sarcasm.

Next door there is Jisung, who is beanies, oversized everything, defiance and loud music through your wall at three AM.

Strangely, they fit together perfectly.

For Jisung, numbers have personalities.

Minho reminds him of the number seven.

He finds out that it’s not something ‘normal’ and tries to explain to his boyfriend that Chan being a nine isn’t to be interpreted as a threat.

Minho is going shopping for a boyfriend.

Well, actually, he’s going shopping for groceries.

Which in reality is just him ending up with Han Jisung in his shopping cart.

Jisung is a little tired from a busy week, really needs the upcoming break and has been feeling a bit emotionally wonky all day.

So who can blame him for bursting out in tears when he find his boyfriend asleep on his couch, cutely curled up and looking way too soft for his heart to handle?

---

Where Jisung is a squirrel in need of sleep and cries because he's just so whipped for Minho.

If we had five more minutes of air, Would you panic and hide? Or run for your life? Or stand here and spend them with me?

When the end of the world is there, Jisung and the rest of Stray Kids have to try to keep themselves afloat in a world where up is down and right is left and where it is never guaranteed that you’d live to see another day.

It is daunting and heavy but if Jisung had to point out one good thing that had come from this, it would be Minho.

But it was only going to last so long.

One day there would be no oxygen left for them to breathe.

And Jisung and Minho knew they’d have to say goodbye when that time came.

If we had five more minutes… Would I… could I… make you happy?

Minho isn’t blind, never has been, so it’s not new that his eyes stay glued to the younger’s very nice silhouette.

Everything manifests into one simple thought and that is that if Jisung would ask, Minho would be totally down to fuck, possibly upgrade to fuckbuddies. So down.

But the thing is that when he imagines it – and boy does he spend a lot of time imagining it - is that he feels a pang in his heart after that. One that also prompts him to feel sad and his brain to tell him it’s not enough, that he wants more.

----

Rated M for Minho's unfiltered horny monkey brain.

A new kid transfers to Minho’s school and to be honest, he isn’t interested in the slightest. Said new kid, on the other hand, seems to be very interested in Minho though.

---

Basically Jisung crushing on Minho at first sight and trying to confess.

There used to be a saying in Korea: "If you are out in the first snowfall of the season with someone you like, true love will blossom between you."

- Park MooJong, The Korean Times.

Minho knows he already loves Jisung, but why not spend the first snow together anyways?

Jisung avoids all college parties.

He has seen enough movies and tv series and read enough stories to know that nothing good ever comes from stuffing young adults into a tiny ass dorm with too many bottles of hard liquor.

But what if the party suddenly comes to him?

----

Basically, Felix convincing Jisung to let him host a party and Jisung locking himself up in his room, ending up meeting Minho in the kitchen and hanging out in his room after that.

Jisung lives a peaceful life in a small conservative town, far away from the hostility between humans and mythical creatures. He spends a lot of time with his best friend, will start his job as a carpenter soon and is as good as engaged to a beautiful girl. What more could he want? But when he meets a handsome guy at work, Lee Minho, his oh so peaceful life suddenly becomes complicated.

"You're not sleeping here, are you?", the voice asked and startled Jisung. He jolted upwards and blinked rapidly to make sure he was fully awake.

Jisung meets Minho in the library one night. After encountering the boy for a second time, Jisung learns that Minho is known as the coldest and most unapproachable guy on campus. But Jisung is keen to become his friend and find out the reason for his distant behavior.

"Minhoe?" Hyunjin bursts into laughter, having inspected his friend's cup of coffee and noticing the way his name is spelled. "Wow, that's a new one."

"Wha- Let me see that!" Minho grabs it from Hyunjin's hands and takes a close look at it. "Unbelievable. Is he stupid or something?" He snorts, taking an angry sip of it afterwards.

Or: After having his name spelled in various wrong ways over the past few weeks, Minho decides he's had enough of this Jisung guy and his little game.

Once seated, he eventually grabs the cup and takes not just a tiny sip; no, he drinks more than half in a single gulp.

"Ah, what the-" Only when he sets it back down does the bitterness kick in and Jisung makes a face of pure disgust. This is definitely not the Caramel Macchiato he ordered; it's the worst thing on earth, it's an Americano, the thing that Jisung hates with a passion, devil itself. "What the fuck."

Or: Minho messes up Jisung's order and, at the end of the day, a very revolted Jisung demands an explanation.

Jisung wasn’t sure how this kept happening, staring down his nose and into Minho’s eyes. He was also not so sure if it was such a bad thing.

Or alternatively, the four times Jisung and Minho almost kiss (and one time they do).

Minho had always considered himself a patient guy, laid back. He cared little enough about the majority of things, which allowed him to wait patiently, without really needing to push for things immediately. But ever since he joined Stray Kids, there was one thing that kept popping up and making him impatient: Han Jisung. He had never wanted something like he wanted Jisung. Jisung, in turn, was equally sexually frustrated by the elder. So, when Stray Kids decided to do a cover of "It's Raining," the two of them were bound to snap, in one way or another.

When Minho and Jisung finally got together, Minho gave Jisung a warning. Jisung considered it a promise. He intends on making Minho keep his word.

Minho can't handle Jisung's blue hair.

“Tell me, hyung… Has my Section Chief Lee ever thought about bending the Vice Chairman over his desk?”

Since the first time Minho had laid eyes on him, he knew he had to have him. Han Jisung was a prime specimen he couldn't pass up on, even if he was Chan's little from APO. The problem was he was straight, but evidence has shown that he may not be as straight as Chan had thought he was and Minho is about to find out if his bad attempts at flirting will get him the dick he wants.

Or, Minho thirsts over Jisung in all his blue-haired lip piercing glory.

Everyone expected Minho to be an alpha, right hand to Chan who would lead their pack.

But the moon decided he was an omega, turning his world upside down.

But Minho was a bit too stubborn to just let fate decide his life for him.

(...)

Well, at least part of it.

"Do we have to fuck?" Minho pants, rolling his hips up to gain friction against Jisung. "Can we just stay...like this?"

Turns out Monopoly is really good for letting out sexual frustrations.

Or, 3 times minsung play monopoly, and 3 times it ends with them getting off.

“Lee Minho,” Jisung said, cheeks flushed a deep pink he knew the older could see under the dim lighting. “Are you proposing that you’d like to take me home with you? At least buy a guy dinner first.”

“Oh, I plan to. If you’ll let me that is,” he said, a corner of his mouth raising in a half smile. The hand on his thigh squeezed a bit, making Jisung’s tummy feel warm. “However, I also really, really, want to see how pretty you’d look underneath me.”

Jisung choked.

--

Or, Jisung meets Minho in a nightclub and proceeds to get the dicking down of his life (and maybe falls in love).

"I can’t tell you if you love Minho or not, and I can’t tell you how to feel because love is scary and unpredictable. But, I do know that whenever you two look at each other, your eyes fill with a billion little galaxies. He is your universe, Jisung. And I know you’re his’ too.”

--

or: minho and jisung are boyfriends and are in love. the softest yet filthiest smut ensues (and jisung falls even more in love)

“Y-yeah, the whole, um… audience really enjoyed it.” Jisung wanted to punch himself in the face. He had no idea what he was saying but he couldn’t stop himself as he had nothing else to say. From his periphery, Minho cocked his head to the side before smirking, a familiar glint in his eye.

“Oh? I’m glad. I like knowing how much people...enjoyed my performance.”

Or, Straight boy Jock Jisung fic where he’s faced with the dreaded reality of Minho’s ass making him question his existence

Dead hours, which meant Minho had another boring shift at the convenience store in the gas station. Nothing exciting really happens during his shift except maybe a chance encounter with a dangerous man who's company he prefers a little bit more than his own.

(ft. Minho's incredibly questionable taste in men)

After a mysterious gorgeous angel lets Jisung use his membership card to get a discount on his convenience store ramen, Jisung is convinced he just found the love of his life.

The last thing Jisung thought would threaten his life was a job offer and a crown prince. He'd think alcohol poisoning would get to him first, or the menace of Goguryeo guards at his heels. But here he was, at the mercy of the crown prince of Baekje with one job for him and Hwang Hyunjin- unless they choose death.

Find, protect, and humor the supposed crown prince, his older brother: Lee Minho.

And he thought it'd be easy. How hard was it to protect someone?

However, he didn't think he'd be the one he's protecting the future king from.

Minho was amazing at calming kids. Whenever the teachers ever had a more than troublesome student, they would always call for him. He knew exactly what to do and what to say when there was a temper tantrum or endless crying. And he always calmed children down-always made them smile in a matter of minutes. Though with adults... he was a little lost, especially when Jisung's glossy, clouded eyes meet his gaze, brows stressing over his eyes and cheeks burning a horrible red.

"Am I a bad parent?" He asks, Minho shaking his head profusely. But maybe he answered too quickly, perking up when he noticed Jisung almost cry harder.

OR

Single father Han Jisung is suddenly called to school regarding his daughter's bad behavior. Instead, he ends up crying in front of the teacher.

Minho never gave it much thought until now, but Younghee is very much like Jisung. Though there was a huge rift—as if they still don't understand how close they actually are. And just like Younghee, who is learning who her father is step by step, Minho is also slowly discovering who this character, Han Jisung, is.

Minho had never heard of Han Jisung until that parent conference and he always wondered why. Of course, there was the obvious problem of him never having time to pass by, however, shouldn't Younghee at least say something about him? Or shouldn't the consent forms at least have his name? It's like he just appeared out of nowhere—like a ghost, a shadow.

But just like Younghee, Minho is also trying to figure out why he likes Han Jisung.

Maybe that's why they managed to somewhat become friends, to bond over their confusion about Jisung.

OR

After witnessing Jisung break down and offering to help him take care of his daughter, Minho wants to figure out why he suddenly even offered such a thing.

It was weird. To feel comfortable around a student and a parent in such a situation, he meant. To feel such warm domesticity when it came to the two, Minho welcomed it. Usually, he puts up a thin border of professionalism when he talked to Jisung or Younghee—like he was doing this as a teacher as a half-assed excuse. However, he thought that they were practically way past that. Especially when Jisung smiles at him like that. When Younghee smiles too, albeit small, and starts to eat her food.

But maybe he wasn't doing this as his job—because he was a teacher just looking out for the well-being of his student. He guessed he was doing this for the both of them, as Lee Minho to Han Jisung and Han Younghee.

OR

Being called back to school regarding a problem with his daughter and another student really made Jisung open up to Minho.

Jisung was just... different. The squirrelly man made him feel different...

He couldn't exactly describe it but why would he need to, anyway? Not when he found an answer so clear when staring at the squirrelly man. An answer so clear when he notices Jisung exit his room timidly, black hair styled, though not as professionally as he did when he had work, his round glasses perched on his nose, clad in a comfortable blue sweater and ripped jeans and—how hard has Minho fallen exactly??

"You uhm—"Minho clears his throat as Jisung smiles sheepishly, playing with his sleeves as he heads to the older. "You look—cool."

Cool.

Cool??

God, that was sure to haunt him for the rest of his days.

OR

With the acceptance from Jisung's daughter, Jisung decides to finally allow Minho to enter his life.

Minho hated staying in, hated how lazy he felt when he stayed in bed a little too long in the mornings. He hated how the cold seemed to worsen tenfold once he left his warm cocoon, hated how sluggish his mind felt. But he didn't mind when he laid with Jisung like this, his warmth, arms, and legs wrapped around Minho like some weird sort of sloth, never letting go unless Minho wanted to get kicked. Didn't mind when he stayed in bed for a few more minutes if it was with Jisung. Not at all.

"You know what you should do?" Though Jisung pulls away, unwrapping himself from the older and propping himself onto his elbow.

"Nooo," Minho whined, trying to pull Jisung back to their original position, though was rejected; a tragedy. "Come back."

"I have to go to work, anyway," Jisung rolls his eyes, pushing the older to his back to place his chin on his chest, wide bright eyes staring up at Minho. "But you should take Younghee out."

Minho finally goes through with Parenting 101.

9: 45 PM - Folks were shutting off their computers, stretching and smiling at each other for a good day's work.

9:50 PM - They gathered their stuff, leaving the building.

10:00 PM - The Janitors were ready to clean the building for one last maintenance check.

10:30 PM - Folks with overtime, such as Lee Minho, rip their hair out at more work, yet less pay- Why was staying overtime again? He was the publisher- for fucks sake!

10:35 PM - Jesus Christ, Minho needed a stress reliever.

Jisung had always been oversensitive to scents, leading to complications in daily and dating life. He's satisfied being single now, but he can't say no when Chan wheedles him into joining a scent-based speed dating event. Little did he know, his friends had a ploy up their sleeve and Jisung was in for a surprise.

“Hyung? I need… I need help.”

Dread slides cold down the back of Minho’s neck, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake. “Jisung, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

Jisung whines plaintively. Minho can picture him crystal clear, slumped against the door with his arms around himself, probably wrapped in his comforter, every ounce of his concentration focused on pouting. He’s directed that pout at Minho thousands of times in the years they’ve known each other, but never for something like this. Never for sex.

“Hyu— ah, fuck.” Jisung cuts off with another whimper. Minho hates that he’s in pain, and what’s worse is that Minho could easily put a stop to it if he wasn’t so chickenshit, if he wasn’t so wrapped up in his own stupid feelings. “Ow, ow, oh fuck— please, hyung.”

There has to be a solution. Minho struggles to wade through the haze of his arousal to find one.

“Jisung-ah,” he starts, fighting past his own shame to get the words out, “do you have any, ah… do you have any toys?”

(oblivious roommates-and-best-friends to lovers with an a/b/o twist)

Jisung realizes that maybe Minho isn’t as far from reach as the stars in his eyes, maybe not as mysterious and incomprehensible as the expanse of sky above them.

or: Jisung and Minho share a bed, and Minho struggles with vulnerability.

“Slytherin’s seeker is on the move,” Jisung said into his microphone, and, before he could chicken out, he added, “And can I just say he is looking fine today? Lee Minho, seeker of our hearts.”

Minho almost fell off his broom.

Or, Minho is Slytherin's seeker, Jisung is the quidditch commentator just trying to get his attention, and the audience is very done with Jisung's bad jokes.

“You're by yourself today,” Jisung comments, falling into step beside Minho as the latter walks out of the gates of their high school.

“Very astute, Han Jisung,” Minho retorts back.

“I live to observe,” Jisung says back with a grin. “Where's Hyunjin?”

Minho shrugs. “Oh. You know.”

--

or: In which Jisung keeps Minho company in an attempt to cheer him up after Hyunjin gets the girl.

Jisung doesn't really know what he and Minho are. Best friends? Boyfriends? Buddies who kiss and go on dates but aren't really, exclusively, dating?

He's confused, but at least for one night, he knows what he can confidently call them: prom dates.

“It’s okay,” Minho murmurs into the hair on the back of Jisung’s neck, “You can go back to sleep.”

Jisung relaxes in his arms, offering Minho's hand a weak squeeze where their intertwined fingers rest on his lower stomach before rasping, “But you’re hard.”

“You’re still here.”

“You told me to sleep here,” Minho shoots back, deadpan.

“No. I don’t mean that,” Jisung whines and shakes his head; he sounds like a child - a drunk one, granted, but he’s speaking with such easy earnestness usually only found in a five year old. “I mean here. Not my bed,” Jisung clarifies. “Here— as in my life.”

--

Even after everything, Minho stays by Jisung's side.

elegy; noun: a pensive or reflective poem that is usually nostalgic or melancholic

~~~~~
They were just friends who fucked each other sometimes, that's all. Minho didn't mean to fall in love with him - and now it was impossible to fall out.
Or, Minho and Jisung are friends with benefits, Jisung moves away and Minho convinces himself that he's not in love with him anymore, but then Jisung comes back and Minho realizes that of course he's still in love.
Minho's new neighbor was driving him absolutely insane. The kid wouldn't stop singing when Minho was trying to sleep, and he was this close to snapping and shouting at the boy.
Minho quickly learned there was more to this mysterious singing boy that he thought. Soon, the singing that used to irritated him so badly started to soothe him - helped him sleep even.
What happens, then, when the singing suddenly stops?
“Well that backfired. C’mere hyung, I’ll tickle those lewd noises right out of you,” Jisung says, laughing evilly and coming up behind Minho so he can wrap his arms around him and go for the belly.
“Kyaaaa! Hannie! Noooo!” Minho cries out, wiggling in his hold. The sound rings in Jisung’s ears, far too similar to the hentai he’d used to get himself off the night before, and that nervous feeling and those sweaty palms come back as he works up Minho’s torso.
“Give it up, Linoring,” he says, though the words come out far more quietly than intended, more of a whisper into Minho’s ear than anything else. He feels Minho pause and tense a little bit beneath him before writhing in his grasp again and letting out a high moan.
“Jisung! Iyaaa!”
Or: Minho tries to deter the members from tickling him by making lewd noises. Jisung likes them way too much.
It’s not that Jisung has low standards in men he dates, it’s that he’s a fucking idiot (ask Hyunjin, he would gladly agree). This means he attracts just as equally idiotic people. It’s that plain and simple... and okay, maybe he does have low standards in the men he dates too. It’s whatever, really.
But for some reason, Jisung has this relatively odd aching feeling that tells him Minho is a little different from what he is used to.
(Or, Jisung’s 10 Signs You Are Falling in Love list might be filled with more bullshit than he’d care to admit).
Minho is in heat. Jisung is in his rut.
They never met before but were up to helping each other out.
Things don't turn out as expected.
Jisung continues to fall in love with a man he's never seen before.
Alternatively: Jisung has Prosopagnosia (face blindness) and Minho is so much more than just a pretty face.
Jisung drops the song on Sunday. By Monday evening, Minho has sent Jisung fifteen messages and received a reply to none.
Three minutes into Tuesday, Minho finally listens to the song.
“Did I catch your eye?” asks the boy, and Minho realises he’d been staring. When he instinctively turns away, the boys tsks. “Aw, don’t be shy on me now.”
Despite himself, and despite knowing the position he’s in, Minho scoffs. “Please. I’m not shy.”
“Look at me, then.”
It’s a challenge. Minho knows it’s a challenge. The boy caught him when he was vulnerable and snatched his weakness with his greedy, greedy hands. He’s cocky now. Minho almost feels bad for him when he steps forward and matches his gaze with a practised, unwavering intensity. The poor boy doesn’t know that he’d given Minho his own weakness; but Minho knows the moment the boy yields, when his teasing eyes grow wide and he averts his gaze.
It’s silent for bit while everyone tries to process the boy’s shamefully sudden show of defeat, but all Minho can fixate on is the deeply scarlet blush high on the boy’s cheeks.
“Damn,” their leader whistles. “Never thought I’d see the day someone shut Jisung up.”
or, when Minho joins Chan's gang of misfits, he doesn't expect to fall for the leader's younger brother.
‘I dare you,’ Felix begins, shooting a quick glance towards Jisung, ‘to kiss your crush.’
“Your sleep schedule is shit,” Minho said. He held up the bag with the earrings inside, swinging it in front of Jisung’s face. “Got you a present.”
Something slithered in Minho’s chest that was either an impending heart attack or nerves.
“Really?” Jisung looked between the bag and Minho’s face, eyes widening from half-closed sleepiness to their usual woodland creature size. “Why?”
Minho shrugged, and bounced the bag up and down. “Just because. Thought of you when I saw them.”
Minho maybe, sort of, possibly—accidentally—became Jisung's sugar daddy. He could stop, or... well, it's totally not a bad idea to see what would happen if he kept going, right?
Minho and Jisung are best friends.
“Choose a person who wouldn’t excite you,” Jeongin advises with a little grin lifting the edges of his mouth, looking up at Jisung with this sort of warning amusement in his eyes.
And then like some horrid, cosmic joke, Changbin pipes in.
"How about Lee Know?"
-
Jisung's day was gonna be fine and normal.
Until he was forced to stand in front of his crush and wear a device that could detect his feelings, anyway.
Minho, Jisung’s voice whispers in his head, making Minho shiver. It sounds so close, almost like Jisung is right next to him, lips pressed to Minho’s ear as he says his name. Fuck, I wish Minho was here.
Minho waits with bated breath for his next words.
Would feel so much better than my hand.
(Minho and Jisung are soulmates. It takes three years and Minho overhearing something he isn't supposed to for them to properly talk about it.)
This was a joke. It was a joke, and Jisung was gonna wait out whatever clever punchline Minho had packed up his sleeve.
Minho remains, cocking his head to the side in challenge. He murmurs around the piece of candied popcorn held between his teeth, leaning closer, inviting.
“C’mon, Jisung,” Minho teases. “I thought you said you were hungry.”
Jisung realizes too late that the punchline doesn’t exist.
-
It’s Jisung’s first time off schedule in months, and he’s naturally anticipating the most boring day ever. When Minho gets back to the dorms early, it turns into anything but.
"Are you still nervous?" Minho asks, retaining that addictive nonchalance to his voice.
Jisung releases a pathetic little laugh between his gritting teeth. “Yeah,” he breathes out. “Just a little bit.”
"Let me smoke you out, then."
Jisung makes the mistake of letting his curious gaze wander, allowing a mesmerized "How?" to escape him. He's done the moment their eyes meet, because then Minho's taking Jisung's jaw in his hand while the other holds what's left of his blunt, dark eyes trailing down to the lips he wants to coax apart.
"Open for me."
-
Shotgunning: the practice of inhaling smoke and then exhaling it into another individual's mouth.
Minho sighs, running a hand through his hair. “Look, I had no idea you worked here, but this doesn’t have to be weird. Don’t make it weird.”
“What doesn’t have to be weird?” Jisung presses. “Why are you here?”
“I’m teaching a ballet class.” He wiggles his hands in the air unenthusiastically. “Surprise.”
“You’re teaching—” Jisung pinches the bridge of his nose. Of course.
Of course the instructor of the ballet class he just signed his daughter up for is the amazing one night stand who won't leave his mind. The guy who works at a fucking sex shop and had Jisung tied up in his bed over the weekend.
Fucking hell.
(in which — between frequent hook-ups and his daughter's endless adoration for her new dance teacher — Jisung is screwed.)
"Tell me, Sungie, do you want a pretty girlfriend one day? Someone to take home to your mum? Because right now you reek of prude, and I can help you with that…..I could teach you"
Jisung is sure he must have misheard it. He had to have, right? Yet Minho doesn't laugh it off, he doesn't hit Jisung's shoulder and exclaim 'Ha! Gottcha!' - he just stands there, looking at Jisung with his stupid pretty head tilted, waiting.
Straight A student Han Jisung agrees to tutor untouchable local delinquent Lee Minho in hopes of securing extra credit - but ends up with a whole lot more then he ever signed up for when Jisung finds himself falling for the broken boy hiding behind a facade of cigarette smoke and cruel words.
It's a messy thing; to fall in love when you're far from ready for it.
“Good luck breaking the news to your family that we’re not really dating.”
“Well…” Jisung drums his fingers on the steering wheel. “What if I didn’t?”
Minho blinks. “You’re not suggesting—”
“You’d have a place to stay for free, as long as you want,” Jisung interjects quickly. “Free food, anything you need. I’ll set you up with Hyunjin. My parents—did you see how happy they were for me? My mom already loves you! If we just… just go along with it, a-at least until Christmas, everyone’s happy, right?”
(in which lonely novelist Minho falls for Jisung through a dating app and flies across the country to surprise him for the holidays—only to find out Jisung looks nothing like his photos. Minho lets himself become trapped in a web of lies, somehow growing dangerously fond of his catfisher-slash-fake-boyfriend along the way.)
After a tragic accident, Minho loses memory of the last three years of his life – including his entire relationship with Jisung, his long-term boyfriend.
Jisung was a wolf shifter with a nose that refused to work. It was unusual but his pack helped him get around.
One day, a few new young wolves joined the pack and Jisung is the only alpha who doesn't chase after the omega with an alluring scent.
It’s been years now, Minho’s learned to live with it. Having Jisung in his life, just being by his side is enough. He’s the only one in love but that’s okay, because love is never wasted on Jisung.
Honestly, Minho was doing just fine.
Then Lee Felix had to go and ruin everything with his stupid game.
Jisung closes his eyes and counts slowly to five, but when he opens them again, nothing has changed. “Can we come in, or do we need to talk about this on the doorstep of your six-grand-a-night bungalow in direct sunlight while I’m hungover? Would it be to your amusement if I puked in this hedge?”
Seungmin steps out of the way. Minho breezes past him and disappears down the hallway.
“How bad is this, Seung?”
“You want my honest opinion? It doesn’t sound good.”
Jisung follows Seungmin inside. Minho is sitting on a settee in the living room, coffee in one hand, phone in the other. He looks up as Jisung shuffles in, a sweet little smile on his face.
“You know,” he says, “most of the photos are blurry, but we made a pretty cute pair of grooms.”
(Jisung gets blackout drunk during his best friend's bachelor party and wakes up married to a stripper.)
“We’ve gotta stop meeting like this,” mutters Jisung.
“Like what,” says Minho dryly. He huffs a chuckle, suddenly out of breath. “Whatever could you mean, Hannie. Everything’s fine, everything is just dandy and completely and utterly normal. I don’t feel even remotely close to—”
“Dying?”
There’s no playbook on how to navigate waking up soul-bound to someone, cursed to both suffer through worlds of pain if physically apart for too long. What Minho really needs, though, is a chapter on what the fuck to do when that someone is his best friend and fellow group member whom he happens to have feelings for.
Minho never wanted to spend his rut with anyone ever again. Except now, he has to.
Enter Jisung, who coincidentally needs someone to spend his next heat with.
During the three days they spend locked up together, Minho has the best sex of his life, falls head over heels in love - and relearns how to trust himself.
It’s simple: Minho and Jisung have great chemistry in bed. And then Minho’s cat falls in love and it’s not that simple anymore.
(Or, “my fuckbuddy is kind to my cat and my usually-grumpy cat is in love with him. I think I’m starting to have feelings for him because of that” AU.)
Jisung truly didn’t mean to steal Minho’s jersey.
He didn’t even know whose it was - let alone who the hell Lee Minho was - he just grabbed it, not a thought in his mind as he tugged it over his head as he rushed to get ready for the game. He still barely knew his way around the locker rooms and the field - he had been a last minute addition, joining the cheerleading squad three games into the season.
In which cheerleader!Jisung gets on lacrosse-player!Minho's bad side and has to deal with the consequences for the rest of the semester.
“I just kind of assumed you disliked me for some reason,” Minho admits easily. “You know, because of all the glaring?”
Jisung feels his cheeks scorch with the heat of embarrassment. “I wasn’t- I wasn’t glaring. I was just . . . looking at you.”
Minho tilts his head to the side. His eyes widen a fraction, lashes batting wildly as he blinks over at Jisung. “Why?”
Jisung almost wishes he could disappear, or hide behind the menu at the very least. “You’re . . . my co-star,” he says, finally.
“Your co-star,” Minho repeats, amused.
Or, idol Han Jisung is acting in his first ever drama opposite seasoned actor and ex-ballerino Lee Minho. When their on-screen chemistry quickly becomes a trending topic, the producers ask them to fake a little off-screen chemistry to keep everyone's interest.
