- I will give allowance as soon as they understand how to use and count money.
- I will teach my children at a young age to put 10-25% of their "income/allowance" to savings.
- I will breast feed for as long as it is recommended for babies. I will stop before it gets weird.
- I will not hide arguments between my husband and I from my children. They need to learn how to argue properly without yelling and/or name-calling. They will learn the importance of comprimising.
- I will teach my children the value of a dollar. They will pay for things when they begin collecting allowance or when they get their first job.
- They will NOT have TVs in their rooms.
- It will be our personal goal to visit all 50 states with our children.
- They will know how to clean and cook efficiently.
- I will not "baby" my children by making every tear a big deal.
- My children will not know what carbonated drinks are.
- I hope to have the house that all the kids at school and in the neighborhood want to sleep at so my children do not need to sleep at anyone else's house.
- An ongoing theme in our house will be to respect the humanity of others.
- They will learn that physical force is NOT the way to get what you want. There will be no hitting and/or threats of physical force.
- Their religion will NOT be pre-determined by me and my husband. They will be encouraged to research all religions and make an educated decision on their own.
