campaign premise

• people in our area have been blocked off by the government and have gone rogue because of lack of divine punishment. the main angels the one that archives all the sins and virtues has gone missing, that got leaked by the angel that is closest to humans accidentally. our goal is to go to the angels headquarters to help and track down the angel.

character ideas

• 1: an atheist character that denies the existence of angels despite seeing definitive proof. maybe not their existence but doesn't like the idea of a divine higher power. comes along on the mission for a personal goal. ranger character.
  • character denies the modern progression of the divine rule. the core of their disdain. blames the angels for the current world progression & how society is progressing.
• 2: human visionary. hilma af klint. works alongside angels as a sort of correspondence?
• combination of the two:
  • as she began working in correspondence she had to find something to ground herself in her humanity. the affinity to angels is the cause of her dislike. generally an intuitive person & easily picks up new skills, can however be very stubborn.
  • family background? comes from a religious background. was pushed into her line of work as a result of her affinity. i think she was devout growing up
  • her ideas about the angels changed gradually until she was hit with a revelation that pushed her off the fence to the other side.

• the core fantasy of the ranger is supposed to be of a character who is at home in the wilderness, travelling and patrolling dangerous places, protecting others from the dangers of the wild. they are supposed to be monster hunters, survivalists, guides, scouts, trackers. they're not nature priests like druids but they are in tune with the natural world. they're warriors like the fighter (and, you know, every class) but they're notable for specialising and for tracking and slaying their foes. they're stealthy like rogues but that's because they stalk the forest, not the back alleys.
