ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ✩‧ a/n: my favorite and ideal type of game is one where the main objective is to complete a collection of some kind. of course, it helps when there’s an engaging environment surrounding it, but i will almost always ignore the ‘fun’ parts in favor of attempting to collect, craft, and customize every item in animal crossing (a task that will take me many lifetimes to complete. i am not deterred by this). i’ve scoured the world wide web and have only been able to find a few lists similar to what i wanted, and even then they weren’t perfect for me. so i make my own :D

centered around collecting

• colors tcg (on dreamwidth.com)
• every pokemon game afaik (surprisingly i’ve only played one as large franchises intimidate me)
• pokefarm.com (hatch and collect pokemon!)
• pokemon tcg (i collected cards as a kid and play the app from time to time)

heavily features collecting

• all animal crossing games (my all time fav)
• stardew valley (there is a lot to do in this game, BUT a lot of it revolves around collecting!)

list is still very short as, sadly, even the collecting wizard herself fails to find many collecting games :( but i will add on as frequently as possible!
