i've seen a couple of people doing this and i think it's precious so here's my go. i didn't start on new year's but i'm close so it's okay bc a year is a year regardless

• january:
  • 15th: took a nap and woke up to a beautiful sunset, facetimed lily and talked about books and laughed a lot (29 days)
  • 16th: tonight was so, so, so peaceful and so, so, so wonderful. it's one of those days where you remember what's really important in the time we have. i spent time with trey, mylie, paige, pierce, and haley, and ate pizza and laughed and felt at home. mylie and trey and i sat in mylie's car and cried and listened to boston by augustana and talked about how we couldn't stop time, and the changes we've all gone through over the matter of a few months. mylie is meeting alyssa on the same day i'm meeting lily and i miss mylie so much. we dropped trey off at his house and he gave us a tour and showed us his dogs and his dog's puppies and marina talked about conspiracy theories the entire way home and i am so lucky to be alive. it's a full moon and my heart is full, too. (28 days)
  • 17th: all in all uneventful. school got called off for no reason, so i laid in bed and played animal crossing and blogged and facetimed lily for a few hours and listened to good music (27 days)
  • 18th: spotted quick recall at the middle school's academic team competition, went to chinese with chelsey and trey, got a big hug from jacob; trey came over for a little while and i casted my first circle, then we went to the basketball game and i played in pep band, and now i'm home (26 days)
  • 19th: trey stayed the night and we played lots and lots of mario kart and mario party (25 days)
  • 20th: sick sick sick :( ate lots of good food and laughed with lily though (24 days)
  • 21st: still sick sick sick and school was cancelled and i need a haircut and i stayed up late to watch "her" with lily and my life is perpetually boring (23 days)
  • 24th: went to the evansville icemen game with trey (1st hockey game) and took in the city and joked a lot and took selfies with his brother's tipsy girlfriend and realized that this year is turning out to be a good one (20 days)
  • 25th: lily and i's nine months. woke up super super early and went to the academic team competition; played ers with trey and mary lou and chelsey and a bunch of other people and played my ukulele and answered a few questions for quick recall and had a good time all in all. kaitlyn steward told me i'm gonna be really good at it someday, and she makes me feel loved. we placed second overall. (19 days)
  • 26th: hung out with susan. went to work with her and watched youtube videos (mostly about high fructose corn syrup) and talked about food and DID and made snowflakes, and then we went back to her house and i showed her stumbleupon and we tried to make parmesan chips and we had dinner and she cut my hair. she's such a bright soul. (18 days)
  • 30th: took the practice act at school and thought about existence a lot, and how unique and special physicality is. i got assigned to my "TEAMS" team today, which is exciting. trey came over for a few hours and we went to the chinese buffet and watched dani shay videos on youtube and did homework. i am constantly daydreaming. ((also, the TFIOS trailer came out the other day and i watched it twice and sobbed)) (14 days)
  • 31st: today was a good day; i was in a great mood. managed to waste 5th period grading papers with trey, did paris's hair and makeup for her first big dance, and played for pep band and laughed with chelsey a lot. the sky is beautiful tonight, and i realized that i'm over a year self-harm free. a good end to a good month. (13 days)
• february:
  • 4th: watched frozen, snow day.
  • 5th: yet another snow day. played ERS and walked around in the snow with Paris.
  • 6th: i'm doing that thing where i run the days together again. i'm a week into this month and it feels like it's been three days; i need to stop. no school this week. lily will be here in seven days and i'm so excited.
  • 7th: trey called me and woke me up and showed up at my house with the nice starbucks drinks from huck's. we ate soapy salads from roadside and tater tots and went for a walk on an icy trail and fell in the snow, and played ERS with amber and paris. amber stayed until 10 and then i called lily and we watched craigslist joe. (6 DAYS)
  • 8th: called lily and talked about happy things like college and amusement parks and cyberchase, and some of the details of us meeting. (5 DAYS)
