Since I can be a little brutal sometimes, it's important for you to know that my ratings are based on my personal enjoyment!! No objective thoughts, just my mind, taste and the things I watched/read.
〈 ★★★★★ 〉
The ones I liked the most! They may be masterpieces or not, but I'm still very fond of them. Mostly things I'm attached to or things I specifically found enjoyable in many different ways, fun-wise or story-wise. Not every 5★ is my favorite, but they surely deserve it!
〈 ★★★★☆ 〉
Everything that is enjoyable but didn't deserve the ultimate and final star. I still like them A LOT. I'm very generous with my 4★ because it's pretty simple for me to use it as my second and last "real" positive rating (3★ is also kind of good but they surely have flaws)
〈 ★★★☆☆ 〉
Things I kinda liked but, as I mentioned above, they have flaws I cannot ignore. Or maybe not, they were pretty decent, they just didn't click for me. They surely have some positive aspects or else they wouldn't be there.
〈 ★★☆☆☆ 〉
I give 2★ when I may like the basic concept for the media but they used the worst way possible to write it. Everything else is almost garbage. They may be confusing or badly written (as always, for me, not objectively)
〈 ★☆☆☆☆ 〉
When you see this there are two proper explanations: the first one is garbage. If not, they may not be objectively bad but for some reason I didn't like them at all. For many of them I had really high expectations and they ruined everything at some point (ex. Skip to Loafer, Wotakoi). It's a really important matter for me, since I really hate it when I start to like something and at some point I get disappointed for various reasons.
For many others, they're just not for me (ex. Made in Abyss). I'm not into MOST of the hyper-dramatic and psychological concepts.
