system elder & archivist.

To our knowledge, he doesn't ageslide, or age in general, but other alter's perception of how old he is changes often. Most everyone agrees he's in his 40s, though some see him as a solemn 50 year old, a stressed 70 year old oracle, a stoic 35 year old teacher, and a stressed 20 year old student. He might be a subsystem, which would explain a lot in retrospect. He's part of a grouping with Percival and Dmitri, and without them present, we don't see or hear much from Nikolai. He often prefers to be co-conscious and have Percival post for him.
