Memories:

• My strongest memory is of a meeting during the war. I walked into the war room tent while Bismuth and Garnet were discussing strategy. I, of course, walked over to where Rose as sitting and sat on her lap. I feel like that might sound odd but it was completely normal for us. I sat on her lap quite often. And I had full intention of facing towards the table and paying attention to the discussion at hand! But Rose snuck her hands around my waist and pulled me closer. Then, she put her head on my shoulder. I blushed a little. Then, she kissed my neck and my blush deepened tenfold. I still wasn't used to us being affectionate in front of others. In my embarrassment, I gently swung my legs over the side of her chair and tucked my face into the crook between her neck and shoulder. I remember how soft and ticklish her was. She chuckled, making me retreat into her further. I wish I could remember the words we exchanged but I do know, it ended with both of us giggling. Bismuth, currently trying to present a strategy, cleared her throat. She and I straightened up, her letting me go a little, and me facing toward the table. Bismuth said something along the lines of, "Now, with no more interruptions-" and Rose said, "Yeah, Pearl." The whole table laughed. It's a simple memory but it was so gentle and sweet in a time that was dark and heavy. It was nice to see everyone relax for a moment.
• I remember the first time she and I found the beach. Watching her stand with her toes in the sand near the edge of the water. She loved playing with the crabs.
• I didn't dislike Greg as much as canon Pearl did. I actually really liked him. Of course, I was jealous, especially when I realized he wasn't just a phase, but I just wanted Rose to be happy. And I couldn't deny it. He was perfect for her.
• I never did call Mystery Girl.
• Lapis and I got really close after she came back from becoming Malachite. We didn't exactly date but we got really close to it. I don't remember many specifics, though.
• Lapis and Peridot did get together. Peridot and Amethyst had a fling when Lapis was gone but it didn't last long and things ended well. Then Lapis showed back up and they mended things.
