- brush your teeth, tongue and all around your mouth twice a day. use a toothpaste that contains fluoride.
- drink plenty of water and limit sugary drinks.
- eat nutritious foods and consume processed foods in moderation.
- floss between your teeth once a day.
- replace your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months or sooner if needed. a worn-out toothbrush will not clean your teeth as well. if you use an electric toothbrush, change heads every 3 to 4 months as well.
- do not smoke.
lips
- brush your lips. an old toothbrush, or a cloth is perfect for this job. Simply brush the lips in small circles, removing old skin and getting them smooth and soft.
- use lip balm.
